Toban WIP

Thanks Vincent, only found this thread just now, will do some laps at my beloved Toban tonight... ;)

Cheers, Uwe

Absolutely brilliant to drive already, I didn't realize how much I missed this track until a moment ago. Now some working night lighting and the "raceway runoffs" layout (with correct gdb entry) and I'll be in heaven ;)

All the best, Uwe

PS: I've also added TOBAN_LONG to rF2 Rank.

I have some issues with the shadows at this track, it looks like large shadows are being cast on the bridges all of a sudden when I approach them:

Also, the transition from the raceway runoff layout into the long layout seems a bit rough, there's a (quite massive) bump where the two layouts intersect (may be realistic, don't know).

Some fence shadows also run along the trackside as I drive along them (shadows set to "high"), but that's not really a big issue.

Otherwise great work and a fantastic venue to have available for rF2 again, keep up the good work!

Cheers, Uwe

Just wondering hoover...

Have you been experimenting with HDR on/off?

I`ve noticed the bridges and pit buildings getting that bit darker as I approach them too but the "running shadows" thing seemed to be eradicated for me when I switched HDR off then back on in game. (I also noticed this at other tracks than Toban)

It doesn`t help for the buildings getting darker though and yeh, I`ve noticed that bump to... pretty severe indeed. :)

Last night I had odd dream, that last corner of Toban was very difficult there, I consider dream being rather realistic as last corner is very difficult when I tested this track and when I drove this track in rF1.

However it might be more worrying that I had a dream about sim racing and my computer has been out of operation only for two days...

I did not notice big bumps or weird shadow issues (not in dream when testing this track), but I don't use shadows or hdr as my machine has not enough power.

I'm going to give this a WOW! because I know this is your first attempt at modding and you have done so well. Keep it up!
