rFactor 2 Online Tools by Chris “redapg”

I am using Firefox, updated to the last version. When I use your tools, the downloaded file is blank. I also tried Edge, with the same result.

That's strange.
I also use Firefox and it works properly here.
Did you already try it with completely clearing the Browser Cache, so that no locally stored old Content gets loaded?

EDIT I just checked the Server Folder where the Files get stored temporarly and there are 3 Folder from 2023-08-29 02:04.
If they are from you, the new created File is not empty on the Server.
So it must be something that happens in the Download-Process.
Do you maybe have an Anti-Virus-Software running, that can be the Problem?

I'm using webroot, but I didn't see any notice about a dangerous file or other warning.

Hi @redapg

Was just trying to use your player.json settings transfer wizard thingy on your online tools.

When I get to the download your changed file, it downloads a 'NEW' file (0KB)

Tried in Google Chrome and IE - neither worked.
Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!!

You are the 2nd One that reports it.
The Problem for me is, that i use Firefox and it works properly for me.
So it's hard to find out what the Problem could be.

And also @Travis reported it working properly for him.

Do you use any Anti Virus Software?

Ahhh OK thanks dude.
Haven't tried Firefox, I'll give that a download and see what happens.

Thanks :)

I've added a new Tool "Get Suspension Data for the rF2 Physics Calculator from a rF2 HDV and Chassis.ini File".
The "simplified" Calculations that i use in the Script were made by @Robin Pansar and the Calculation-Results have only a very small Offset, due to the Simplification (the Calculations in the Spreadsheet are very complex, so it is VERY hard to impossible, to calculate them Backwards).

But it can be use- and helpful in any Case.

As always, if Problems appear, please post here.
Thank you :)

Just as an Information:
i've fixed a Problem, where the NightLight from AIW Generator, didn't create working Nightlights with the default Settings anymore.
And i expanded some Dropdown Selection Ranges, to give more Setting Options.
Please report Problems here, that i can fix them.
Thank you :)

I'm struggling to get any (ok, i tried two...) of the tools that upload and edit files to work today. I really want to use the Option 3 on the engine editor (upload existing engine.ini) but when I select and then try to upload a file, I get a "Hmm, can't reach that page" error from Edge. Tried it under Chrome too - and also tried the tire editor just in case it was a problem with the engine.ini web form. Same results. Have also tried with VPN on and off.

The 'start from scratch' forms seem fine.

Hello Myles,

can you please try it with the Firefox Browser?
I just tried it and it works.
Maybe it's another Problem with the Chrome and Edge Browsers.

I never test with them, because i completely removed the Edge Browser and i don't want to install the Chrome Browser. :)

Nope: "
The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the web."

I'll try a reboot...

Just as an Information.
I've added an orange Button at the End of the "For Vehicle Modding" Section of my Online-Tools main Website, that leads to this Thread here in the Forum, that was opened by @Raintyre and is about his Payware Aerosketch Tool, with that you can create and check Aerodynamics for/of rFactor 2 Cars.
I did it, due to a Request of @doddynco , who finds that Tool very helpful and wanted to give it a bit more Support/Attention.
I hope it helps to get it. :)

PLEASE inform me, if you don't get leaded to the Forum, when you click that Button.
