Isi servers .. Finally well done

If we're thinking about disabled users, we should allow complete autoshift. I also know some user who need that to be able to drive.

For this reason i don't understand the need of any discussion about this topic. Everyone who deuced this help for others should know, that he could become one of those disabled users every single day.

It's clear as daylight that autosshift doesn't give any advantage. Quite the opposite. Especially with the AidPenalties.
Autoclutch is also not realistic for most cars, but everybody allow it, even if this could be a real advantage and doesn't have AidPenalties.

So it should nobody hurt if a server allows autoshift.

I currently can connect to all of the ISI servers except for the historics. I try to connect and it says "Server connection failed". I can see other people are able to connect. Is this a known issue for some people?

I have retried about 100 times now. Same result every time. Could my IP be banned from the server for some reason?

No. It's the same physical server and IP as the ones you can join. I think you simply blocked the historics server, or your ISP blocked the server.

Your might want to run a tracert to the Matchmaker server and see if there are network issues somewhere between your house
and the server.

If you are not familiar with how to do the above, I will give you the 10 second tour..

What needs to be done, is on your computer open a command prompt and enter the following:

tracert 75.127.1.74

It will return after you hit enter, how you are being routed to the server.

I have posted a link to read how to perform getting a Command prompt

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/947-command-prompt.html

This should identify where the bottle neck is

Please post back and let us know the results.

I don't see how this could be a networking issue on my end or with my ISP since I'm able to connect to every other ISI server, since they are all on the same physical server, unless I'm not understanding something here.

Also, I forgot to mention I was able to connect to the historic server one time. When I tried to join it a second time and every time since, I get "Server connection failed" only a couple of seconds after I click connect, which looks more like an active denial from the server than a network timeout.

I am going to send you a PM with our TS3 IP

If you can, pop in and we can see what's up if you like

AIDS issue can be solved by ISI having both novice and advanced servers. My vote for Advanced would be the standard Clutch Assist only with forced cockpit in Historics. :) Long Live GPL. Traction control makes zero sense in Historics. Those cars are meant to drift. The novice servers could allow all AIDS and those who want them can pick and choose how much robot they want?

i love the isi servers! This is a big help to me because i don't't have the time for a league atm and these servers allow me to race and get my fix. Plus the server atmosphere is friendly for the most part and there is always good competitive racers . Thank ISI

in game name is Paul Ceglia

Was a bit disapointed with the way the Howston server is set up. And why is it not included with the live servers on the top of the page? Or is it NOT actually an ISI server - just named to look like it is?

Anyway, as I was saying. a 10 minute free practice followed by a HOUR long qually session that limits you to just 12 laps. Hell, I can knock that over in less than 20 minutes without even trying to go fast. Make it an hour long no problem, but get rid of the limit on laps please. Oh, and to top it off, just 5 laps race?
That isn't our server. It's probably called ISI Howston because that's what it's running.

Can I just thank you for setting these up. I've not really gone online with RF2 before due to the only server that seemed to be populated was the ISR megane one, which is a car I loath.

I've not raced the historics before but after doing a few races yesterday I am absolutely hooked.

Sliding around the first corner on Brianza puts the biggest grin on my face. ;)

Hi, I won a 35 minute race in the Camaro at Loch Drummond Short last night. The race result is recorded on LiveRacers but it doesn't show up on my driver stats. No biggie obviously, but whats going on with that?

EDIT : Read on LiveRacers site that races are only recorded if opponents are more than 8. The race I was in had less, I believe.

I'm not sure what/who is the metaphorical can, road, or foot, but perhaps saying any feedback would be a more positive thing to do?

Nice try to play the fool. Just read some of the past replies that you prefer to ignore.

There was a time i had great respect for you and your work. But such manner makes it go downhill rapidly.

I'm done with this topic and all the unregeneratees egomaniacs.
