Flash finally! Great news knowing you guys are fixing long time bugs/errors within the simulation. Please focus also on sparks, they need some fine tunning...

What does this mean to be more precise?

Physics
  • Refactored engine code

Great job!

So ok, you guys are looking to solve the community complains now, as an example of the AI...

I need to ask for improvements on car dashes, this is a point that bothers me for a long time, if you compare with other sims, rF2 is way behind everything we have in this aspect...

It's a huge break of immersion to see the car's dashes with lack of information, with brake bias numbers which doesn't make any sense, with text fonts almost unreadable in some cars, with no support for multiple pages...

I think you guys could put some time to develop this, you did a phenomenal job in recent years to improve the graphics of the tracks, of the car exteriors, of the ambient but forgot to improve the dashes.

Refactoring code typically means simplifying, improving structure and format of the code, etc. This is more of a benefit for the internal developers for easier maintainability but can also result in better performance.

Shop is looking really nice, but can you add (at some point in the future):
- filters (purchased/not purchased; maybe classes)
- the possibility to view the "informations" page of items already in the library

I can't thank you enough for the A.I. improvement. For me, it's a whole new game now. It's just simply fantastic to finally see the cars moving more naturally, applying throttle and brake almost like humans, no flashing brakelights etc. Oh, and just watch Indycar A.I. at Gateway! Or at Portland. Fantastic. Thank you again, it's a real step forward.

"Updated DRS regulations to be restricted in all zones by default and not allowed if there are no DRS zones."
I liked unlimited DRS zones, can u add this as an options please ?

For AI alone it is very appreciated, I am looking forward to do some full grid AI racing with our 1954 and 1967 mods at Le Grand Circuit. Although I expect that AI still might get stuck behind much slower cars in multiclass racing situations.

Also, I wonder what does "refactoring" mean :D

It means improving the structure of the code. It's usually done to make it easier to do further improvements to the engine and avoid bugs.

And easier to evolve the product.
Those things that cost us dev's to explain and that customers don't understand and think they have no value. I hope it is to have a more agile work structure. :D:D:D

This would be necessary for the Chaparral in the 1967 Endurance mod. I did see an editable rfm line that should make that available, I would hope it would become a MENU item at some point.
