A new hotfix update for the current 'Release Candidate' build of rFactor 2 has been deployed - the second hotfix made available for the ongoing development of the current RC build - found under the 'beta' tab of your rFactor 2 installation within Steam.

  • Sped up Race Event creation in MAS Tool regardless of size/age of pkginfo.dat
  • Fix crash when trying to display the game in borderless on a third monitor with a different solution than the first.
  • Fix using the resolution of the first screen when displaying on any other using borderless.
  • Fixed a crash when changing monitor when in full screen.
  • Fixed changing resolutions in windowed mode.
  • Fixed reverting resolution picking the wrong resolution to revert to. Used to pick the first with the same width.
  • IBL Road Shader: Added the ability to blend out alt normal map via RDT.b
  • IBL Vegetation Shader: Added optional detail map with extended blend options.
  • Fixed broken gear graph

For the gear fix, does that also correct the graph where gears disappear on cars that have more than 8 gears?

Koenigsegg Jesko has 9 gears. The bug was found when trying to put that gearbox in rFactor and the graph going blank for our Hypercar mod. The way we fixed it is by switching to an 8-speed.

The original is a multi-clutch transmission that has 3 shafts with no power cutouts (much like a DCT). This is a semi-automatic paddle shift road car (that was re-imagined as a race car in our case), which even as a street car it would be very very far off from a CVT transmission.
