Released NEW! GT3 Pack - Now Available!

Was hoping the material update would fix the vents but oh well.

The Bentley and Callaway GT3 cars have been updated and now NONE of my skins work any more or any body else's that I have down loaded. This needs to be sorted, I just hope it can be sorted or it's hours of work down the drain for me and every body else who have done skins for these cars. I can not understand why these updates were released with such a glaring error, surly some one checked. If this happens with the Oreca 07 it would be hundreds of hours of my time and other peoples time wasted. Also why waste time updating these cars when the AI still does not use skins for the new GT3s cars. I think the way this new painting system has been implement is abysmal. I will not be doing any more skins for S397 cars until this is totally sorted.

Umm, I've got these cars but for some reason they did not update.
I've done the verify files, no luck there.
Any ideas on what needs to be done?

So I had to Unsubscribe and Resubscribe in the DLC inventory.
Hope that helps anyone else

I did manage to get a skin working by changing the vehfile name in the rcd file to one of the new cars name. I can drive the car my self but AI uses the default skin just like the new GT3s. You also get a ghosting of the original cars logos. This new system has to many faults to be of any use at the moment. This is not doing S397 any favours and it will probably loose them some custom because the down loads already posted will not work. It not only makes S397 look bad but also the people who have posted there skins.

S397 is certainly gaining a reputation. I wish they'd allow private beta testing for some of us to give feedback before public release. Some of the stuff that slips through the net is quite silly.

The veh file name was the obvious fix for them not working. I'm just home from work so not really looked properly yet.

Interesting that the AI aren't working. Was expected and totally agree that S397 should fix what's broken before breaking more mods! With luck someone on that decord or what ever it's call will give them a ear full, Their clearly not reading all the posts over a number of threads explaining all the problems people are having..

The ghosting off logos is a easy fix. It would be using the original cars region by default. Just create a alt_region that's all black and set it to Car Paint. Be sure to use the Alpha Channel on both the livery and the region so the carbon stays less shiny.

Normally I'd agree to this but they aren't taking notice off posts (and there is a lot off them) Why would they listen to others?
 
Regarding the AI Skins issue, this was asked on Discord yesterday and a response was given:

What ever the issue is, it's been repeated now to the GT3s we had before. And it's far more than just AI.

Same prob for me .I try verify files and reboot pc no luck ..then unsubscribe and resubscribe all ok

Apply the region layer otherwise you'll have this issue.

Okay, thanks, found it there, it takes you to the workshop to unsub and sub. The weird thing is though if you try to search them normally through the workshop they arent there. Not sure why it is 3.4gb though
