My satellite ISP was generous tonight and the download arrived swiftly. Took a few laps with each car to give y'all my initial impressions:

- Art Work is super, great, thank you for the welds at the rollbar joints, no disappointments other than a lack of skins.
- Default Setups are great and I had no trouble driving them, nothing screaming "adjust me". If I end up making adjustments, it most likely will be due to searching for the competitive online setup.
- Sounds are good, with the Corvette being my favorite with its bass tones and the Bentley least favorite because it doesn't match my preconceptions.
- Driving Experience is a longer subject. Overall, I really like how the cars feel different, yet perform similarly.
  • McLaren was quickest for me around Silverstone International, probably because of the WFG experience and that I tried it last after all the other cars in the pack.
  • Corvette was second quickest for me. It is, with the default setup, my ideal of how a rwd front-engine car should handle.
  • I struggle with the Bentley to be consistent, possibly because of righthand drive. It's certainly not related to the setup, at least not much, rather more just an awkwardness that I felt while trying to keep it on the racing line. Maybe a touch less understeer would suit me better.
  • Mercedes is exactly what I expected, almost utilitarian.
  • Bentley and Mercedes gave me the feeling of being very similar in performance, with not too much potential left for me.
  • Unsurprisingly, the Radical is very responsive and I probably didn't begin to tap its potential performance, which is why I expect it to surpass the Bentley and Mercedes in my hands even though I otherwise had equal lap times with all three in my brief stints.
Things that I have not yet explored:
  • Tire choices
  • Aero adjustment range
  • Paint template
  • Range of competitiveness
  • FPS

Guys, the dx9 version got broke, S397 are aware of it and are going to fix first thing in the morning euro time.
 
Oh, yes, the new game builds... only after reading a few more comments and cogitating for an hour has it sunk in that one should download the new build. Definitely not obvious!

Yes, I know. What I want to check is how sensible the layouts are. Some of the past templates have had rather awful layouts (Cobra is split in middle of door so applying a roundel is a major exercise, G4 Howston isn't aligned along the roofline from front to rear which makes anything other than a central stripe very complicated).

um yeah no,Im running dx9..I will run dx11 when its out of beta
 
Graphic glitch on Radical: LOD loses the exterior mirror surface when car is about 3 lengths ahead, so you get a see-through ring. Tested at Medium, High, & Max opponent detail.

My guess is the Mclaren was PART of the pack. When you only bought that, you may have lost out on being able to purchase the entire carpack as a group. (key word here is GUESS)
 
Looking at the final lineup I would say the way they gradually hinted at the cars in the pack leaving the last two out was carefully thought out.
Obviously the Radical would be the toughest one to swallow but the rest of the pack "makes up" for it, plus it will soon be some people's favorite anyway.
Hopefully it will see glory IRL to go with.
At the same time the AMG is defo the most exciting license in there after the McLaren.
Our league: 5 manufacturers, 5 races, hmmm ,what should I do? ;)

The McLaren is indeed part of the pack. If you bought it, you can still buy the pack but there is no special pack with just the other 4.
