Maserati Trofeo GranTurismo MC Series

Was this car gt4? Should the laptimes be comparable with Nissan 370Z? I did 2.09.8xx with Maserati and I remember doing much faster with 370Z (maybe 2.06.xxx).

After more track time with this car I would say brakes are the biggest problem (and maybe only problem handling/physics wise). Little bit more grip in high speed corners wouldn't hurt either.

No, it isn't a GT4 class car. Just the name was GT4.
But now for this car is running in the GT4 class, but it's different, because of the GT4 regulations. But yeah nearly the same, but in some point very different, like engine, aero.

But I know the breaking issue, so I'm working on this.

Thanks for the info. Still not sure though with which car this should compete with? (any of the released cars in rf2?)

Looking foward to the update :)

Hi,

I've added the car to rf2 rank. For the next update, could you maybe provide a more descriptive car name? Right now, it's

Trofeo 2012

would be great to have a reference to "maserati" in there somewhere ;)

All the best & keep up the good work,

Uwe

Enjoying this mod. For the next update, can you adjust the driver names so that all are visible on the HUD. I like to see who I'm racing against and not just the car number. Thanks!

A bit different tyre physics, and more grip.
Modified front and rear wing, body aero and diffuser, modified brake torque and disc inertia.

This feels great. Gave it a run at Silverstone. Really like how it looks and feels. Unfortunately though, the AI does a lot of rollovers mid bend.

Pretty big difference in feel compared to earlier version. In a good way, the car is now more predictable. Thanks for fixing the brakes.

Is this supposed to be low grip car? I still have to lift in most high speed corners.

It's a standard road car, which was stripped down from unneccesary cockpit parts. They put slicks, much stiffer springs/dampers, allowed for some more camber and put on things like a roll cage + other racing stuff to meet safety requirements. No additional aero stuff... at least not for 2009-2010 season. That's valid also for all the other GT4 class cars like Porsche 997 GT3, BMW M3 GTS, Aston V8 or 'Vette C6.

Umm, yeah, I am not Tommy ;)
To make things worse, for unknown reason I thought the car is in GT4 spec. but now, after reading through Tommy's first post it looks like it is more like a regular cup (and in 2012 spec) so... forget what I said (albeit that's a "low aero downforce car" for sure) and we better both wait for Tommy :)
Cheers
