Hmmm that looks OK. Can you please upload a Trace File? Create a Shortcut of the File ..\rFactor 2\Bin64\rFactor2 Mod Mode.exe Rightclick on that Shortcut and select Properties. In the opening Window, edit the Entry in the Field Target in that Way, that you add the following at the End of the Entry: +trace=3 and you have to add a white Space between the Entry and the +trace=3. And in the Entry below of that (in english called "execute in", i guess) remove the Bin64\ from the Path. Then click OK and start the DevMode by doubleclicking on it. Go to the Showroom and then leave the Game. The Trace File is stored in the Folder ..\ModDev\UserData\Log then. Please upload it here.
Tried to race with the Vectra. Game crashes on both tracks (loch drummond, Joesville) PS Still no showroom image..I start to feel lost here
Can you give it a last Try? Rename the whole ModDev Folder. Make a Steam File integrity Check. That should install a fresh ModDev Folder. Put ONLY that Folder into the ModDev/Vehicles Folder, that you have linked here in your former Post and that works for me here. Does that solve the Problem?
If you have a mas file in devmode that has the "main" files, as in the physics files, then the game crashes upon load and cars won't show in the spinner/tuning menu. @redapg - for my own issue. I wanted to create some icons/thumbnails for some cars... And I wanted to make sure I used the in-game screenshot feature, since that's what the easy icon creator tool seems to have to use... I used the Steam-created PNG-screenshots and it wasn't cleared of the black background (checked in PS). That's why it's frustrating that with the new UI, the screenshots won't save through the game natively...
I have extracted my SUPTOR_FordMondeo_Main.mas file into the \steamapps\common\rFactor 2\ModDev\Vehicles\SUPTOR_VauxVectra folder. So, is this wrong?
As said, your uploaded DevMode Folder of the Vectra works properly here. Do what i have suggested in my former Post please.
And more frustrating is, that the from S397 announced Icon Creator Tool, that should make the Things easier for us, wasn't released yet. EDIT I forgot: BTW In the DevMode the Screenshots work properly. And for the DevMode this Icon Creator Showroom is made. I did tell him already what to do.
Ok, i did what you said. I re-generated the ModDev folder. I also put inside the new Dev folder the SUPTOR_VauxVectra And..Here is the weird thing In my previous Dev folder there was a car named SkipBarber. Outside of that folder there were some files. Among them a file called cmaps.mas If i delete the cmaps file, i get no Vectra car image in showroom. But if i leave this file like this then the vectra preview image works! Any explanation about that? PS That cmaps file was not created within the SUPTOR_VauxVectra folder..
Yes, don't delete original Files. The cmaps.mas File contains some "common" Files that are/can be used for all Cars. So if you don't have an own/customized one, it has to be linked in the GEN File. You have seen what happens when it is linked but not there.
Thanks! Just one final question. Any idea why i don’t get any notification “sound” when i press the F12 button? As it is now it s impossible to say that any screenshot is done!
Check the Folder ..\ModDev\Sounds\Ambient. Does it contain the File screenshot.wav? If yes, did you change any Sound Setting?
Yes, there is. But when i use it i get no sound PS I dont remember changing anything in sound settngs
@Haris1977 (your Sound Settings are the default ones, that is OK) and @Vanisch It's strange that you don't hear the Screenshot Sound. If you load the Joesville Track, do you hear the "Carnival" Sound (from the Folder ..\ModDev\Sounds\Ambient)?
@Haris1977 and @Vanisch Maybe the Reason, that you don't hear the Screenshot Sound in rF2, is a Conflict with the Steam Screenshot, when they both use the same Key. If rF2 and Steam use the same Key, assign another Key for it in rF2 or Steam and try it out then.
This doesn't work either. I have completely disabled the steam screenshot (settings=>in game=>screenshot shortcut keys=>none)
