I've been trying to get a glass surface above the pitlane to reflect objects around (opposing) it.
I've set up static mapper and it works, but the reflection quality is beyond poor.
On the debug sphere it looks perfect, but when projected onto the glass (or any other) surface, it all looks...
After a few laps of the practice session, in the inner section, the windshield starts reflecting the ground and it makes a very weird effect because it shouldn't reflect the ground below/behind the car and it looks magnified. The windshield looks a bit like a broken TV doing static noise.
Morning, I just wanted to report this bug as I have spent time tracking down the exact reason which reproduces the bug so hopefully it can be solved.
In wet weather, reflections on the road surface artifact and move where they shouldnt when in VR. I use a pimax 5k+ headset at "Normal" FOV, so...
Dear Devs
The specular highlight is missing from PBR glass surfaces. I mean the reflection of the sun.
It seems to appear on all other surfaces but glass. I've checked the Porsche GT3 only, but I assume, the other cars use the same shader for glass.

Some quick external shots which show the surrounding objects being reflected. Obviously again these are work in progress shots of rFactor 2 in development, simply showing you the reflections, other effects may not be on at all, or not yet final.
