Firstly thanks to Mike for this track. Been missing since back in rF1. Anyone having issues using this online. Every time I make an rfmod it won't include the track. Just end up with a damaged mod.
Bathurst 1985 V0.16 released * Large update of pit area * Added Start Light * Added speed hump in pit lane (Textures next update) * Fixed various textures and mesh around pit area
Further to the issue of getting it into an rfmod, I repackaged and now it works. I did rename it also only to stop it clashing with the original. Can't use online tho as I'm the only one with it..lol. Hopefully if Mike has the time he can look at it.
So awesome to have this work of art and love. Thank you. However my wife is getting tired of dusting off my car every time I leave the paddock. The details are fantastic.
When you make a vmod it just shows as being damaged. Click on the mod in Mod Manager and it shows the cars but no track. Tried several cars with the same result. Also tried on both our remote server and my local Dedi.
@Mike Cantwell, Mike I know you have a long way to go but even as it is this track is so special... for me a track that takes you from enjoyment to immersion is a special track (@svictor Dundrod is one of those tracks) for me so is this one... I have watched hours and hours of Bathurst footage from 70's through late 80's and I was actually at the 85 race camping on the mountain loving every minute of it, driving this track brings those memories to life and I can't thank you enough for your efforts. A small tribute to Sayuri Time to start racing and enjoying this track.... Thanks again Mike !!!!!
Hello Mike, i just tried it out and yes, a Server Mod with the current Bathurst Version is shown as damaged Mod. The Solution is, to use the Name Bathurst_1985 as Name of the Component, when you create the rfcmp. Currently the Name is Bathurst_1985.rfcmp and when it gets installed, the mft File is called Bathurst_1985.rfcmp.mft. And i think that rFactor can not handle that there is a second Dot in the File Name. It probably detects it as the File Extension, which is not valid. I have repackaged it and used Bathurst_1985 as Name and everything works as it should.
Did they really have those speed bumps in the pits? I can't think of ever seeing something like that....
The other side: if it seems implausible, why would Mike do it without being sure? Google + youtube showed me this:
Definitely the humps were there....do you tube search for bathurst 85, Dick Johnson cracks an oil cooler in the first 10-15 laps he blames those very same speed bumps with some great in car commentary from Dick Unfortunately part one is not on you tube but at 6.45 onwards on this part you see Dick entering the pits over his favourite speed bumps
I will have a go at fixing that tonight. Think I fixed it...not sure what happened. A bad copy/paste.... Sorry everyone....
Yep...sure did. Some stupid idea...they were car breakers. Many car had oil coolers and radiator damage because of them. They were removed later with the new complex and the pit speed limit was introduced.
Mike its Tommy78 DTM 89 mod, not a perfect model but very close... if you have the mod i would be happy to share the skin
