Hey everyone. If you have AMS2 you can access an early '83 version of the track. The directions are at their forums. It is a non-media share track so I can't do a video until the end of the month. Mine will be way more advanced by then. They have spurred me on I do want their pit building It is way better than mine. I may update one day. I do not want to come across arrogant or rude...far from it. However, I think mine when finished will be the better version...one thing is the AMS2 version is way to wide in sections. Also my trees are old (RF1 days) but they are gum trees. There is something about that shade of olive green and the look of the trees that shout out Australia. The other version looks like Bathurst dropped in Europe somewhere... Anyway, thought I would share. They have a heap of place holders and the main Hardie Center and foot bridge are not there, so I am keen to see what they do. Next update for my track is Sunday night all going well. Working on the 3D tyre walls and the exit from Forest Elbow to Conrod.
More updates. * Added the on-track sponsers, * Redone the edge of the turn just near Griffin's Mount (Reid Park) * Added 3D tyre barriers replacing all 2d * Completely rebuilt around Forest Elbow and have to adjust so AI don't hit it (Yes the grass mapping is out) * New AI (still refining) I will release this next update Sunday night Brisbane time.
Wow can't wait to give this a run now the 12h is on. Is Sayuri's Orchard on the back straight? I want to waive in VR and pay my tribute to her.
Bathurst v0.22 * Added the on-track sponsers, * Redone the edge of the turn just near Griffin's Mount (Reid Park) * Added 3D tyre barriers replacing all 2d * Completely rebuilt around Forest Elbow and have to adjust so AI don't hit it (Yes the grass mapping is out) * New AI (still refining) Thank you Manfred The following update will be the 12th
I have a bone to pick with you Mike! The fence between the parking lot and the pit area is not solid, we can drive through both directions. So I went to see a movie.... A MOVIE! And THAT FENCE? Solid.... all the way around.
Working around the track again, adding the first run of the finer details. Upgrading the 2D fences. Mesh is simple flat poly but the posts are low poly cylinders. The fence closest to the track is a full 3D. I am worried about frame rates but we will see how it goes..... Next release Sunday evening.
Wow...just finding out how harsh shadows are on frame rates I enabled the shadows on the orchards and the frame rate was 35 on my machine ( AMD Ryzen 9 5950X 16 core, 32GB RAM and a 3060Ti) so that was interesting.... Disabled them and the frame rate jumped into the 250 - 300 range.....So the outer trees will not have shadows, only those close to the track etc. So I will be sorting that out for the next release...........
Huge day today. Lots done and getting ready for the next update. New driveways, gates, roads, fences from Lakeside and QR (3D)
New update! Huge week and I am tired Bathurst v0.30 * Large update * Many new fences around the track * New driveways around the track to houses * McPhillamy Park details added * Fixed a lot of issues with mesh * Added details in pit lane and reduced speed hump height * Added many new shrubs and trees around the circuit * Increased frame rate over last release. This will be ongoing fine-tuning. * Next update will be focused on graphics and colour palate.
I guess many of you have seen this..but this journey started 11 years ago in RF1.....A little embarrassing. I was put off by the amount of work involved.... And I still am now testing with the DJ Mustang
