There's no Clio update to download, but as it was said before - Clios were using some features not present in build 90. We got Clios early, because they leaked For example - headlights were bugged in build 90. Now they're look ok.
the undercar shadow disappears on high distance (and medium). There is a way for having always this type of shadow ? Nik
Thanks ISI for the update, i'm testing the update and not the full installer, and i've noticed the 60's cars still have black mirrors,or atleast the F3's do.Would like to say though they feel better connected to the road.
Thanx for update. Some annoying bugs has been fixed for example headlights one. Now night racing is again possible. here is a short list of what I noticed after a few minutes of testing + a bit better FF + headlights works again. Moreover they behave correctly durring a day!!! + Looks like issue with huge env reflection on 'dark side' and weak env refl on lit side is fixed. It is enough to fix specular reflection + KSzczech referred to improved shadows. Indeed look better. However I noticed some lod-out issues. Maybe related to mods itself rather than engine. + cars don't float over the surface. + I noticed improvements in lowest FPS. For example on Croft, when approaching the last turns sequence fps are improved from 53fps to 57fps. - Even with new widescreen options, UI got distorted in surround view - for example small map of track in small replay/video window - Replays in surround view still not supported - mirrors blinking issue still exists - new bugs (vegetation related for example) In overall it is step forward for sure. So thank you, especially for fixing bugs
Good stuff ISI, HDR seems abit less intrusive now. Tried HDR 2 days ago on B90 to get a good screenshot, violent pc-crash as per usual for me with my semi-ok pc. Tried HDR again on B101, less strain on cpu and my pc survived multiple sessions. I hope it wasn't just luck because the graphics improvement for me is like going from 2D to 3D. completely different invironment and having to disable HDR makes me feel robbed from so much more depth. Can others confirm that HDR is working better when they had issues before?
Great loss of performance with this build. Noticeable loss of performance here aswell + 1 new bug I found (I'll post it later along with any others I may find). EDIT: But only "noticeabie" loss of performance Like 10-15%. Doesn't bother me.
Just to make clear, I'm only talking about the graphics performance aspect of this update. Where every previous update was a noticeable performance boost, I have to regret to say this time its a real performance drop. (nothing changed in settings, just as before update) 1920x1200 everything high 120-150 -> 80-110fps 5760x1200 everything high except shadow & reflections severe performance drop! 60-90 -> 20/40 fps it's the first time because of fps drops it becomes unplayable for me. Normally even at drops to 30fps it still was steady image and reacting normally on input. Now I just got frameskipping all the way with delay in wheel inputs and seconds later im almost watching a slideshow of me just crashing uncontrollable into something. HDR The pulsing I had is gone....but they are changed in even more annoying fast flashes. After I exit -> rejoin track the flashes are gone, but now the opposite exists: (light) black pulsing But like before the update, after just driving a few stints it seems to disappear. If it becomes a real issue I'll see if I can get a vid of this or something. Positives Although the overall fps has dropped, some way it did feel more steady and smooth. The same for the general look and feel of the graphics (only tested with HDR). When running on 'save' graphics settings, I see no issues with this update. Many other improvements obviously and still good fun though as its still good performance overall. But it just became clear I have to really set a step back with the graphics settings.
Why don't you just say we will fix mirrors when we get around to it instead of hinting it will be fixed every build since 45.
I can't test this now, i am away from home but i was wondering if anyone with stuttering issues got any improvement from the update?
Thanks for this Build 101 update. For me, it's a great step forward. Every single things is working fine! I don't notice that FPS have decrease, and even now, it's playable with HDR enable! Still get my 25-30FPS, but now with the HDR on, that's nice. Talking about it, I tried it each time a build comes out, but I wasn't very satisfied, too much brightness in my opinion, but now it looks pretty good. It's almost perfect, it gives such a color and brightness in game, incredible realistic! No one could say that rF2 has bad graphic now. About FFB, like everyone, I feel it even more smooth, and still take pleasure to drive, feel the road and bumps. Nice to see back headlight, which working good. A small bug with the front light texture with HDR on, which looking pixelated, but not troubling. Also, the particles (mainly rain) are visible into the cockpit view, another good point. Again, nice to see the mirrors working back in 1960's cars. And finally, wipers are now working, even if it does not affect the rain on the windshield, but that's nice anyway! Just a small bug with the Clios, where they are working fine on external view, but seems to have a pivot point problem into the cockpit view. If I would say what I hope to see in the next build is fix bugs said upper, add rain spray behind cars, maybe improve the rain drops, add some info server like rF1 to see which aids are available etc.. And if I may add something last, be able to join a server in spectator, and also be able to select a random weather in single player. Thanks again for all your work!
