I agree philmcqueen, the force feedback in rF2 is awesome! I love it when I am flying down one of the long straights at Spa in the 60's F1 car, and the wheel is fighting in my hands as the car moves around beneath me!

Anyway, here is my first proper rFactor 2 video, it shows off some of the nice tyre deformation, and just the general behaviour of cars in rFactor 2. I hope you all enjoy it!

That's really nice. I posted it to our FB. :)

Can anyone recommend a simple, free video editor? All I want to do is be able to "crop" video for upload to you tube. Thanks.

Maybe windows movie maker? It used to come with all versions of windows, it's how I started my video editing career back in 2005, lol!

I believe it comes in a package with windows messenger now, it might not be called movie maker but it's the same thing. Not sure so you'll have to check!

Thanks for the replies. I'll look into movie maker. Youtube is good idea but part of the reason I want to crop is to reduce upload time. Thanks again!

Edit: Freemake does it, which is GREAT b/c I'm using this to convert to mpeg also. Sweet!

Loving Salem Valley!

Can't decide whether Salem Valley or Black Hole Ring is my favorite track.....And, of course there's Toban. Xmas came early for me this year!

Loving Salem Valley!

I'm seeing that I'm not alone to have the bug on 3D arms and legs to the driver of old Formulas. Any solutions ?

Those videos are great, but I can't help but notice how poor the replay fidelity currently is. I can't wait until the guys fix it so that we can make really sexy videos for them, showing off this great sim!

:)

here is a sexy 1080p live capture with originaly fidelity and a gameplay as compete as possible, the performance of build 118 makes it possible with a midrange system :)

Great video! What are your systsem specs, they don't appear to be very midrange lol! xD

And I love that video of your cat, lol what a ninja!

I also just noticed, in your video when it started raining, there seemed to be very little loss of grip. But the track seemed very wet. In real life, on slicks, in the wet, there would be cars sliding off the track everywhere lol.

I hope this is on ISI's to do list!

it depends on driving style, it was very tricky, no chance to leave the ideal line, and no sliding to drive fast, but in rF2 you get a feeling for that :)

I was in Hockenheim this year watching F1 free practice session. Track was dry at start, as soon as it begun to rain light, the cars start to sliding all around within seconds, i couldn´t beleave it.
But these F1 tyres are much more sensitively to tyre temperature, compared to those we have on the ISI-F2. Also ATM tyre temps are not effected by outer temps or conditions.
Really nice driving Hagen.

Exactly this ^^

F1 cars are especially sensitive, but to be honest all forms of open wheelers, and especially any cars than run slicks, will lose grip exceptionally quick in wet conditions. The track sometimes doesn't even need to be wet, just "greasy", and the cars struggle. It's even worse the lighter the car gets, in a kart, when it starts to rain and you are on slicks, sometimes the only way to get the kart to turn is to lock up the rear slightly and then jam open the power, it is an art! :)

Great video Hagen, great race! F2 is a very good car to drive IMHO, and I don't understand very well all the critics about it...?

Do you remember the AI's strength in the race? Thanks again for the video!
