I hadn't read this thread until now, and I don't think anybody had told support or the office by any other means than posting here. So unless they viewed this thread (which I don't know), they just got notified by me.I hope thers no offical ISI response because ther lookin for the coulpret! What's weird is that it seemed to work fine early on and then went to hell! Lol I was hosting the FKR server and all was good , we did a league Clio race followed by me changing the server over to the GT's players came and went , swapping cars worked , it was awesome ! Then after a short break for some BF4 action i came back to constant CTD's and haven't been able to launch MP At all?? Maybe is a hack job assualt on MM?? <jk > lol but seriously this is reely strange ... :-/
Can't have auto updated them all at the same time last time?
That is, of course, the trade off. You either want a graphical difference or a performance difference. And id I put the shadows on High, it kills my fps, so I have it on medium!
Tried to enter "United Sim Racers" server, and when mod was downloaded and I was going to choose car, the game crashed, and now it crashes everytime I'm in the server lobby![]()
rf2mm doesn't use the same listing data in the same way as the sim, unfortunately. All servers are updated at same time, thats why i posted that. Looking at launcher version on dedicated server is something i dont do every day...
One thing i also checked along league members wich updated to 494, some have the launcher.config file on Userdata, others dont. Dont realy know why and if it something wich can cause any issue, just a fact.
We are trying to run a league race today, some join the server with no problem at all, other cant....postpone on the horizon.
Problem could be on launcher or the UI (!??!), cause here: http://rfactor.net/rf2mm.php the list appears with no problem at all.
Devs might have known about this already, but definitely know now. I think it's a MM issue because of how it has shown up. I don't have any further info yet.Tried to enter "United Sim Racers" server, and when mod was downloaded and I was going to choose car, the game crashed, and now it crashes everytime I'm in the server lobby![]()

Good that you pointed it out.
I like how F2 handles, but since this car has very light FFB, you often get close to minimal forces on steering wheel. With my G25 I was probably loosing a lot of subtle information in corners.
I probably wouldn't test the F2 for a while, so thanks for mentioning it. Now I will definitely have another go with F2
With other cars the difference may be noticeable, but not as crucial as with F2 and front drive cars.
Did you raise this value for more resistance?
That is the usual F2 complaint.
With which I love the feel of that carcompletely the opposite of most opinions.
I would say use 115% overall effects strength in your profiler and use the 0.08 min ffb torque and try using 5-10 ffb smoothing ingame with 0.90 ffb multiplier. Lower ffb multiplier the better (0.8 or lower is best but you need to use the pedal plugin to check for ffb clipping per car with different ffb multiplier values) because if it's too high (such as your 1.20-1.50) it's going to harm your driving performance whether you realise it or not. You will be getting ffb clipping in the corners which means your getting a constant 100% ffb force instead of the dynamic changes in ffb forces that tell you how the car's balance and yaw are changing throughout the corner. This information is critical to driving as well as you can and as easily as you can (i.e. by feel and subconsciously).
I have proven the problem to be the server with the "*" on the list. I used my own webserver to proxy the MM results but filter the bad server from the list and then used my hosts file to force rF2 to use my own MM rather than ISI's and now I can refresh over and over and over and over. Then if I change the filter on my MM to include the bad server I get a CTD again.
So.... can someone help identify the owner of this server:

I find it funny how people are outraged that ISI sorts their servers to the top of the list yet people find it acceptable to name their servers with leading trash characters so they are sorted to the top.

I assume it's an issue with the matchmaker, not the build. But I'm not a dev.

I don't really mind how people feel about it. It's 4 lines and it goes away as soon as you change the sort.I have proven the problem to be the server with the "*" on the list. Well, we'll have to see where things end up, of course. There's some shading code changes held from this update, but it couldn't be in this update. The thing is that using same settings (let's say medium) performance is reduced (quite a lot if that 20-25% is true). After waiting so much time for this, one would thought that ISI found an optimized system, at least some easy solution like using static undercar shadows for long distances like rF1, but atm it looks like you could have added this feature 2 years ago, considering the fps hit...
