Sounds like ISI should be commended for their regular updates and new developments. Great progress is being made.

I think we must now be just past six months since the launch of the open beta? Not following the forum religiously, I am wondering regarding the status of the end of the beta period and how that impacts the extra six month free beta period vs. annual subscription?

Is there any expectation that the open beta period will be ending soon?
Any thoughts or news on this question?

As I understand, they need at least 6 months more and anyway theyll add this, whatever it is, to free time.

hope it is 6 more months but modders start to release some mods to test. just like a beta its supposed to be. test all things.
the more people try, more feedback they receive.

    No, they haven't said that.
They only said that they would need more than the 6 months originally planned.
It hasn't been said how much more, though.

Yes, I said once, judging by speed of development, to fix all issues and improve quality of existing features to fair selling level, they need at least 6 months, but it may take also a year.

On the other said, ISI didn't say anything. They are mute like a fish.

If an update could include a batch of fixes ( enabling damage / fixes surround sound etc )

    Some good optimisations

Then it's surely it's ready for gold?

New content can follow after gold release, there would also a batch of 3rd party mods released (alot being held onto untill gold release)

    - realroad is far from finished at the moment - grip levels, visual issues,
    - poor performance
    - lighting, shadows, HDR - lot of things that need improvements
    - tire model, tire heating, tire wear, driving at different conditions - far from finished
    - cars and tracks needs a lot of improvements (GFX and physics)
    - lot of missing things - wipers, rain drops, car damages, etc.
    - lot of small bugs and issues in every area
    - online gaming is also far from perfect
    - and so on...
    - ...

I like rf2, really :) but to be honest we are far from GOLD ;)

Feels3 -cheers for the list, gosh think your right ( I know your a good modder so you'll know through experience)

Arh well guess its just a case of being patient & it's good the beta is available to us, based on previous builds think we're perhaps getting close to next build, hopefully will include some of the things on the list. Damage/impact is somthing I'm really looking forward too.

I'm sure ISI team are working very hard

Looking at this and seeing how much (or little) progress has been made since beta release, I really doubt gold will be ready this year.

I think you are completing training too fast. You should learn to drive in "all gears" first then remove speed limiter. That way you will have braking practice completed before removing speed limiter.... more safer that way.

That answers extra free time OP asked. About at least 6 months more, its my impression reading rest of posters.
