Took a really quick look during my work lunch break. It looks great! I'm still a relative noob when it comes to IBL. But Isn't this a contradiction? * GRAPHICS : Added chassis and parts IBL shaders. * GRAPHICS : Updated bump maps on chassis and cockpit. As far as I know the IBL doesn't have a bump map layer. It be amazing if it did. It's too bad the .mas are locked as I would love to see how you guys did it, and apply it to a couple projects I'm working on. I guess I'll have to wait until an official Mod Dev car shows up. But again amazing job! Makes me really excited for the Endurance Series Mod update
I tried this out yesterday and I am unsure if car or track related. I was using VR and it seemed that every time I pressed the brake a static version of my car would appear on track in my mirror as a static object. I was using Laguna Seca 1.3, so will test on other tracks to see if it still happens.
I've had this in the past when I enabled "self-in-mirrors" in the .JSON file. Wasn't for this mod or track, so might not be your issue, something to try though maybe.
I do have self in rear view activated.... but this is the only mod that this glitch has happened so far, so something is up.
Anyone got issue with this mod now? Maybe newer updates of rFactor 2 aren't working ok with it. As soon as session starts engine is working alone very loud and blows. This is happening only with this mod. Anyone have the same issue lately?
It seems to be with all Enduracers cars not just the Flat -6 series, it's only the most recent updates to rF2 that has caused the problem. Totally unusable mod now. The Alpine Series do not seem to be affected.
Yes this happened to me yesterday, thought it was my pc or rfactor being buggy as I kept having other bugs too, sure hope it can be fixed this one of my fav cars on the game
It doesn't do this if you roll back to the previous stable version of rF2, not a long term solution but a way to use the mod for now until the devs fix this issue or the mod is updated
I was sorting out stuff in my library and came upon this mod which I haven't touched for years. Ever since S397 GT cars were released, I have rarely looked elsewhere. Out of curiosity, I loaded up a session with Flat6. I don't know what tyre model it' currently using and about is the consensus on its simulation value or being out of date, but I had one of the best experiences for some time at Fuji (by Katsuo) Once I adjusted to the car (changing some downshifting habits), it was very enjoyable to drive. Tyre wear was just right, not too punishing but also possible to ruin a tyre. Also, AI had very similar wear. Throttle-off behaviour feels unique and there is plenty of grip accelerating out of corners. AI was perfect, field spread out as it should be, had some excellent back and forth battles.
Thank you for the work, despite the official Porsche Cup being out with more physics fidelity, it also has more exaggerated quirks with it, so this mod still has it's place for free, approachable Porsche cup racing. One request though, could you hotfix the cockpit view adjustment limits? Currently, even at the most rearwards position, you are still sitting almost on top of the steering wheel.
I love this mod a lot but have issues racing against ai. It's total wrackage on track not matter if offcial or mod track, ai strenght, agreassion. Does someone know if we can make something on our side to fix this? As Risto above said this mod deserces his place in this sim and it's the best if you ask me.
Maybe it is still the talent file which makes the AI crazy as i wrote here: https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/flat6-series-rf2.49679/page-32#post-1022910 You could try to remove the talent file but then you have to re-pack the mod.
You’re wasting your time with the talent files for this particular mod. The build you’re playing right now has the loop back bug that exaggerates the steering issues they have, but even in the private beta build I have where the loop back bug is fixed for the AI, these cars still under/oversteer massively. The underlying issue is within the .MAS files. You would need to unpack and edit the wing, perfusage, etc to make them more competitive. This mod is sadly dead for offline racing because of poorly it was made for the AI. I tried contacting them about the changes they needed to make but never got a reply.
That's sad to hear. To be honest this car made me fall in love with rFactor 2 and how car handling feels. So sad, really...
