The little Golf, a biting wolf! A FWD, so very sensitive when it comes to the front tyres. Very, because any too much throttle input when accelerating out of a bend is immediately and painfully penalised. The tyres degrade faster than my modest physical condition at the age of 43 when I play football with my boys. The motto with this vehicle is to approach everything as calmly and gently as possible, lift the accelerator a little at the entrance to the bend to let the rear end come in. What do you do when a FWD starts to oversteer? Right, you accelerate so that the FWD manoeuvres you in the desired direction. So at the entrance to the bend, lift up sharply to let the rear end come in to prepare for the entrance to the bend and then accelerate very slightly. Sounds simple, doesn't it? But it's not at all. In addition, you have to be very keen to change gear, as the little one has 6 gears. It's great fun, but at times it can also be very tricky to find the right timing. It takes a lot of practice to drive the little one at the limit. It's amazing how much the little one inspires me with its 193 bhp and 920 kg. A really great challenge on small tracks. FWD cars really are a world of their own that needs to be mastered first. Very difficult to drive, but never demotivating. Great work, as always Tamas!
Full limit with the DTM championship car of the 1990 and 1991 seasons. The brute Audi Quattro with 1220 kg and a whopping 456 hp. Concentrated power on 4 wheels. The Slovakiring is perfect for letting this monster with its all-wheel drive really run out of steam.
Track: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2716325563 A hot lap around the beautiful Buenos Aires circuit in Rubens Barichello's 2021 Toyota Corolla. Damn, these FWD are a tough nut to crack! How are you fast with it?
AI can suck, but they can also give you a real run for the money! Here's a 10-lap race at Brianza, with 100% skill & aggression — for AI and player... The cars are running my "equalizer mod" that basically turns them into a spec series, where every car has the same performance & physics, and where the driver's talent definitions have also been equalized at a pretty high level:

The perfect symbiosis between history and modernity! H gearstick, no ABS or TC. The almost perfect car and challenge. Very direct on the steering wheel and endless traction. This car lives and breathes deep trail breaking and spins easily like a around the bends like a feather. Perfect for high speed tracks. #rfactor2 #simracing
Goodwood: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles...es/?appid=365960&browsefilter=mysubscriptions What can I say? This mod is a work of art. I sat in the car and simply understood from A to Z what the cars in the GT Revival mod by SSSimon wanted from me. It's just pure harmony. And I love the Cobra more than anything anyway. My dream car. This is only topped by the sheer driving pleasure of the Austin Healey. I love this mod through and through. The track is also from SSSimon. That speaks for him and his passion. Simply amazing Simon. Thanks for everything!
I love this car. The Austin has such a light feel at the wheel, it's just a joy to take the bends in. And the little one really makes you sweat. A fantastic car through and through. The sound, the handling, everything is just right. You should have experienced it.
A great new track from SMP Racing. "Fortress Terrible" is located in the Chechen Republic and has a great flowing and technically demanding layout. I love tracks like this and it's great to see what beautiful tracks there are around the world. Thank you SMP Racing! Cyrill's Vectra B is first class and really fun at the limit. Thank you for your great work too!
It is called learning and yes more crashes and mistakes which is relative in that era. You drive to survive Example is AMS2 historic drive like modern geometry. Drive a no wing Eve F1 then their Historic it is like a slap in the face For mine what makes rF2 and LMU unique is the AI drivers are different and dynamic. Take that away makes them the same as other sim, bland and boring. Each to his own
Fort Grozny: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3218026444 Mondeo: https://steamcommunity.com/profiles...es/?appid=365960&browsefilter=mysubscriptions When I did my first laps in the Mondeo, I was shocked. Absolutely shocked! How fantastic this car is. The handling, the sound, the behaviour of the Mondeo. Before I drove it, I thought it would be similar to the Vectra B to drive. Far from it! Much more unsettled and nervous and very different to drive than the Vectra B. Cyril is also a master of his trade who, like Tommy78, does an absolutely fantastic job when it comes to touring cars from the 80s and 90s! Fortunately, I have to say in retrospect, my old H Shifter has given up the ghost. Otherwise I probably wouldn't have continued with this mod. Absolutely fantastic and loving work. The dashboard is also beautiful from the Mondeo. A mix of modern and classic cockpit. As far as I'm concerned, the H Shifter can wait until it appears here. My sequential shifter is certainly looking forward to it. Cyrill, many thanks for your great work. Please support this modding pearl with a small donation. So much work and passion has gone into it!
