Another one ! @ years ..........I still have surprises to find in Belgium scenery. Too many surprises Tim ! lopl OT I think the " flat" feeling road conversions are value as a good indicator of great driving circuits, where rF2 physics can show off. Take Kyalami lets call it alpha, either way, the amount of feel from chassis you get there and sense of lateral forces is fantastic. Exiting the last turn is better immersion and feel then even ISI's Parabolica. Jarama is another one comes to mind, even with the surface as it is the F3 comes alive.
Nice blog Tim, like wajdi I too couldn't work out whether the (now) old road course was or wasn't going to be included, but I'm very pleased it will be, as taking the banked corner that leads onto the start/finish at speed is one of the treats of a lap at Indianapolis Looks the dog's nuts from the vid - a real quality track just like Silverstone
So from a video of a track that's not even done yet you can tell you like the old course better? I'm glad both RC versions will be in it. The old F1 layout for its history (and the worst F1 race in history) and the new layout for what's to come.
So now I can't even say that I prefer the old layout over the new?!It is my personal preference so I don't understand what is wrong with my statement!
so am I right : the release is expected to be : new road lay out old road lay out oval completed version of all these configs & still targeting hopefully before or on the Indy 500 weekend this month if I'm correct then this is good news only interested in the road course track configs but any possible "surprise " etc is good too the Iracing version I've been practicing on in the skippy is obviously the old road course layout then (the Iracing skip is very good but not as good as the rf2 version) p.s the video preview looks great, I always run with minimum track detail for maximum fps
You misunderstood - he was referring to the layout of a real track. You didn't notice he misunderstood you when he said about Tim's video? I believe you are talking about two different things, unless I'm the one who misunderstood
Looks good but reminds me of silverstone, mainly the track design, flat as a board. I'm curious how the drive is, until then I wish much success.
Silverstone isn't as flat as you might first think, even though it was built on old runways there's still a fair amount of subtle elevation change. Indianapolis is pretty flat though. the tarmac on the new layout is completely fresh, the drivers practicing for the GP there have said it's the smoothest circuit on the IndyCar calendar.
Silverstone has some elevation, IMS unfortunately does not. It is quite flat. There's some change, but VERY gradual.
If we have to actually have a discussion as to whether a track has elevation changes or not, the track is too flat For me, anyway
It will certainly be better than not having it at all no matter what version of road course is used. I know it seems such a long time between new tracks and mods, but in reality, the wait has usually been worth it.
