Okay i did some preliminary work on the IBL/PBR shaders for the cars, i still need to get the rest of the maps for the car but i got a small picture about the fixed mirrors on alfa, i also fixed them on other cars, and the new IBL/PBR shader on the car itself. I also repaired the dials by reexporting the dial needle map file and reassigned the rotations on the dials so they match up to the revs of the car.
Okay i spent some more time today to implement the shaders for the most part, i only need regionmap for raindrops and such but its not that essential for mainline testing.
Okay i decided to take 2 days off from working on mods to recuperate and i decided that i will do some work today, i added the new shaders to the alfa romeos cockpit and other parts I also generated a IBL Tiredamagemap and gave the tires a mapping And here is the tire map at 0% wear and at maximum wear I will be working on the other cars myself today probably after taking a bit of break and getting back to work again.
Okay and now the mercedes is finished. Now i only need to make the Raindropmaps for the windshield and the carbody and i think its finished graphically atleast
Okay i think i can release this one as now, it still requires physics developement but i cant drive that much myself so i cant do that, but i alteast updated the shaders for the cars so they look okay now. so we only need to develop the physics
thanks to emperor for work i added car icons 1937GP_v.0.51.rfcmp: https://mega.nz/file/vtogRRBR#m-Z6YbMVBGOLDckJdWJkTWE0G0bf4QUgqsEean5arpg ----------------- if someone want to help with improvements, physics and other things .... we will happy this project could be some kind of open modding, post your improvements in this thread 1937GP_v.0.51_devmod: https://mega.nz/file/zwh0wSia#htCY3SAxPOyCLMfzV6ORsASZJO1lp4PT54wZ72GWt8c rFactor1_1937GP: https://mega.nz/file/T9QEETjb#14N2QMk69nFpA4nD96-0rAmAjVGP88dLa8psaMWYz6k EDIT: latest version 1937GP_v.0.524: https://mega.nz/file/igYVRS7a#yNGPRP7VjELyUQ0IqxWQUjlW1e0K0Q2of7yoA6JKwwg
I hope you all are enjoying the mod, i will take a look at the voiturette 1.5L cars and probably convert them in in the coming weeks and months. but thouse physics need more work onto themselfs for thouse cars as im not sure what the car will do if i throw the physics through the converter, they might need a recalculation. ERA Maserati Now the models are in RF1 already so it would take 1-2 days to convert the models but the physics will take longer than that and that i cant effectively test out on my own as i cant use a simwheel currently. So physics help on conversion would be appreciated or atleast a way for me to use the physicscalculator to recalculate the physics properly. Also i can restore the original pitcrew from RF1 to the mod so we will have the normal pitcrew again for pits atleast.

The Alfa seat seems very far back. With VR head reset and seat moved all the way forward, I was still somehow sitting behind the physical seat.
I can look into it and fix it, it should not be that hard in general i just have to move the CPIT file forwards a bit so i have to repackage it now. I adjusted the alfa Cockpitinfofile and the mercedes file and i also fixed up the auto union bug with the windscreen. So the cars should be improved now
These cars a pretty cool! One thing, a bug maybe? In cockpit view (not VR), It seems the entire front end of car moves left and right with the steering wheel. I tried the rF1 version and they do the same thing. Its pretty funky when you spin out...lol, and I seem to do that ALOT! Otherwise, these are great! Thanks for working on them.
It's strange as it behaves a bit differently in Dev Mode. The cockpit stays still but the nose of the car turns left and right. If I switch to helmet cam (whatever it is..lol) it behaves normally. It's like there's a pivot point where there shouldn't be.
I think it might be to do with the orientation offset or radius in the cam file. It made me nauseous when I played in pancake mode!
I think its meaned to simulate the guy being thrown on the car without seatbelts. as the cars of this era did not have them. I could remove the thing but im not entirely sure what causes it. however i could probably make it an upgrade so people could select between that and the original motion. so there is an option for people if its possible to do it with cam file.

Okay i cant do a upgradefile so basically there is 2 options, i either disable it or keep it enabled.
