Great to hear. Seems it was a corrupt gmt in one of the x sectors or even the AIW file. Reverted back to files 12 month old...and fixed. I have added corner workers and will add the other circuits again one by one and make sure nothing breaks again.
I am adding another 6 flag marshal points around QR and that will add a little atmosphere as well. Did not realise they were there actually Trees will be added later as they are a pain to get half decent The other layouts I will get working and upload in a week or two. Bathurst will be worked on as usual later.
Ages ago I tried to get the AO map for the tower working, but not having much luck. Does anyone have any updated ways of doing this with Max? I would love to get the tower looking better and a AO map would do the trick. Or, is there another shader that will do something similar that I do not know about? This is a test image in Max, but trying to get a map to use is a bit of a pain. This was in Max 2009. I now upgraded to the 2017 version, so maybe there are new, better ways now?
Tested 0.40 this is awesome... cars getting out of their garages with no issues and the cars now pit and refuel during the race... all cars finished with no issues! Thankyou for fixing this... can race it now! Cheers
Same here - it is now raceable where as @Craigbowie stated previously it was only good for practice, but you couldn't contest a race. Well done Mike.
Hey everyone. Getting back to things a bit now. Started a job I have put off for various reasons, but finally building the famous Dunlop bridge for Lakeside. The real bridge was removed in 2016 due to corrosion and safety issues, but it is a landmark. So, the bridge will be back at Lakeside with the Dunlop sign. Drivers used to joke (serious joke) the L was live and D was die. That was the line lol. Should be done in a day or two.
Hey Mike, nice to see your able to come back. You alone have given me a reason to jump back in rF2, look forward to his update.
Hi everyone. Bit of an update on the Lakeside track. I am doing the bridge which turned out to be a bigger job than I thought it would be with the bridge supports being different each side and shadow bleed through which is now fixed. The bridge should be done soon. Next will be the Pits Cafe. That will be a big job but nice to have done. Here are some pics to give you an idea of what is to come.
More bridge work. Basically it is finished. It is a matter of where do I stop....not going to do every little detail. So, the next thing is to do the mapping of the white painted rails and white wooden steps and hand rails...then it is done. I will start on the Pit Cafe. We just went into 3 day lockdown again in Brisbane, plus raining for the week.
One of the tiny Joy's over the years was a conversion of Road America and the sausage resturaunt at turn 6. One conversion had smoke wisping up from the Brat house. It's the little things sometimes that make a track memorable.
