I'm trying to use TrackMapPlugin in combination with SoftTh, but I can't get TMP running ingame. I understand that I have to rename one of the d3d9.dll files and then change the .ini-files, but I'm not sure I'm doing it correctly. - I renamed d3d9.dll from TMP to d3d9_TM.dll - I opened TrackMapPlugin.ini and added this: OriginalD3D9Dll=DEFAULT #OriginalD3D9Dll=d3d9_TM.dll SoftTh works, but TMP doesn't. I tried to alter the order of the two lines above, but without succes. I'm not getting any errors, and I can see that some files in the TrackMapPlugin-folder are updated after running rF2. Any tips? Thanks in advance.
Does anyone know why sometimes the track doesn't show up in the trackmap? Does the number of cars per race affect this? -via Tapatalk (S4)
I had a similar problem with Trackmap-Plugin combined with ReShade. I can't get working a second D3D-dll hooked up with TrackMap. What means "sometimes"? Same track or different track?
TrackMap doesn't need other graphical plugins. It is recommended to disable/remove other graphical plugins. If you want use TrackMap with an other graphical plugin, follow these steps: 1. Rename d3d9.dll (of the other graphical plugin) in d3d9_othergp.dll 2. Unzip TrackMap and install it; 3. Edit TrackMapPlugin.ini: [GENERAL] OriginalD3D9Dll = d3d9_othergp.dll
Evidently it is a track not present into the trackpack... maybe it is old... first post is self explaining as well as, in case, page 6 of the manual
Its spa, and sometimes works showing the track map. Already set up the map long time ago. Actually another issue, sometimes rF2 crashes after pressing start from the garage, right before the plugin loads. Running rf2 next time then works fine. -via Tapatalk (S4)
Sometimes the map appears, but sometimes it doesn't (i.e. only the map border shows with no track). I was guessing because I had too many cars on track, but when I tried lowering cars to <20 it still didn't show. For sure the map (AIW and GDB extracted) already exists in tracks folder.
Is it possible that the track has been updated, but you have old GDB and AIW in the tracks folder? I would try to re-extract these files from the MAS file.
Hmm,not sure about that because I haven't updated the track. I'll try re-extracting tom though I doubt it would change. Thanks. Another issue is the Oulton track (3 variants) that shows the same (small) track map regardless of which track variant is selected in session. Definitely extracted 3 different aiw/gdb's (6 diff files). -via Tapatalk (S4)
Usually, if info into the GDB are written correctly, TrackMap automatically select the right layout. If not you can use ALT + VK_NUMPAD0, as shown in the manual, to load the various layout. In any case the most you reported are not issues of the plugin, and thousands of people are not affected, so I suggest a new fresh installation of rF2.
It's resolved, thanks. Not sure what caused it but maybe a not-obvious corruption. I just extracted again and overwrote AIW/GDB into the same track folder, and they work now. Hope they stick. My other issue with rF2 (w/c I'm guess may have to do with trackmaps dll) is when I click on the Race button (from within garage), sometimes rF2 hangs/crashes (says Bex) Then on the next start of rF2 it works fine. It doesn't happen w/o the trackmap plugin installed, w/c is why I'm assuming it might be the dll. Doesn't happen all the time though, less frequent than usual. What's VK for in VK_Numpad0? Thanks.
I get this, too. But the TrackMap plugin is so awesome it's worth the pain to endure while waiting (hopefully!) for a fix
Thank you, great plugin indeed. However, lately it stopped working for me for no apparent reason: rF2 log seems OK (at trace=100) as well as the plugin log but when I press ALT+SPACE (or CTRL+SPACE as sometimes documented too) simply nothing happens anymore. I'm a bit puzzled since I see no error, no warning and that the plugin is loaded and verified. Having reinstalled it from scratch already, I just can't figure out what else to check. Any help or hints would be appreciated.
Ok thanks for clarifying that. However, neither one produce any noticeable effect: it's just as if I the plugin was not there.
I'd guess too, if I wouldn't see the logs stating the plugin it's verified and the plugin log with my mod information uploaded for every session...
Do you mean plugins? I use the DeltaBest one and this is my Bin64/Plugins directory: Directory of C:\Program Files (x86)\rFactor2\Bin64\Plugins 07/14/2015 10:52 PM <DIR> . 07/14/2015 10:52 PM <DIR> .. 09/29/2014 08:19 PM 18,944 DeltaBest_x64.dll 06/25/2015 11:12 PM 16,896 KnockoutQualifying.dll 02/20/2015 12:49 AM <DIR> Miles 05/11/2014 02:10 PM <DIR> MotecPlugin 06/28/2014 02:26 AM 219,136 MotecPlugin_x64.dll 06/27/2014 12:21 PM 102,912 rF2PedalOverlayPlugin_x64.dll 06/22/2015 11:06 PM 25,600 StockCarRules.dll 06/09/2015 04:56 PM 90,624 TrackIR_rF2_Plugin.dll 10/27/2014 03:23 AM 90,624 TrackIR_rF2_Plugin_x64.dll 11/05/2014 09:11 PM 45,568 TrackMapPlugin_64.dll 8 File(s) 610,304 bytes 4 Dir(s) 1,753,737,637,888 bytes free I didn't install new plugins while TrackMap was working fine. Please note that I don't know which ones come with rF2 nor which ones are needed. So I may uninstall stuff that gets in the way of the TrackMap plugins since along with DeltaBest this is the only one I really use. Thanks
