"Next big thing I am looking forward to is getting those updated components for the older content, ..." Great!
I wonder if Tim is refering to updating the packaging of the existing components (so that they become available as individual components) or if they get a nice revision to match the quality of the latest cars and tracks
Yes, although "match the quality" is relative. The older content will always suffer from the fact that it was done during an earlier time. Average user won't notice, average modder probably can.
any info when the new build will be availavle? i think that 146 was a major step forward compared to last build
They had some problems with the last build last week, lets see how it goes this week. Their internal build should be tested today if I'm correct.
Jeremy Miller: "rFactor 2 build making good progress However it was delayed some by ISI's Harlem Shake video production ." https://twitter.com/jeremymmiller
Re.build I just hope it's 1 per month roughly , so maybe next week ???, anything sooner will be a bit early but who knows hey When ever it comes I hope it's another good one I also think (just guessing of course) then when the replay system comes (tripple screen & maybe the simple editing like in rf1 ??? ) then we're getting close to general release stage
Tim, you mentioned somewhere about older content, like tracks, being updated with better visuals during the development process. Does this count too for car cockpits? The Nismo GT-R is a fantastic vehicle, but the interiors are visually a bit shocking for example. Would be good to see them brought up to the standard of some of the mods in rF1.
It could, yes, but it depends what the car guys (and track guys) want to do. Some things could be left for a future component update (remember there is ongoing dev in all areas).
ah nevermind, the fixes come when the come, around here. I had something to write, but I know it means nothing
When older content starts to be updated then this has to be a sign that the main software engine in prepared for release (gold) stage Then I guess it's a matter of getting previous content updated / bug fixes / feature fully implemented ....3 or 4 builds ( guess /-: )
Yes, it was mentioned before. This is not a content update, though. Only alternate way to download the same cars and tracks we already have. This is how Corvette, Lime Rock and Brianza were released and this is how the rest of content is going to be released as well.
