Tomorrow (Thursday) is a holiday for us in the U.S., and most non-retail places are closed on Friday so we can do our obligatory 'Black Friday' murderfest for the latest piece-of-junk toy or TV. If it doesn't come today, I wouldn't expect it later this week.
Mostly unrelated to rF2. My day job (what I was actually hired to do) been taking up a lot of time. The guys are still working away. Every internal update they do which has a feature they want more widely tested is a potential public update, but if they have show stopper bugs or usability issues, they're not suitable to be released. I do think they're going to time an update, a car (series, with community named AI) and a track at the same time, whenever that time ends up being (will have a better idea after tonights internal build).
Well, being British, I usually catch up on Thanksgiving, and Friday I believe we work, but I could be wrong. I don't even know... I know the staff outside the US will be working.
Nope, issue raised isn't fixed to a level where it would be OK for you to get it, and there won't be enough time to get it out this week now. I have just checked, tested and posted the Skip Barber 2000 template though if anybody wanted to take a look at that.
It's not a good news In a same time you said content and update can be separate. so, what it's not ready? (what's new for the next update? i'm sure i will have no response but i ask anyway)
Shared issue. New graphics element in the update with an issue also needed to be added to the car, which was also an issue.

1255f is the DVD version? Not getting an update, I'm told. And I didn't think I was addressing mass media, just answering one specific question from someone I know.
Right. I was addressing you so that it will be fixed hopefully. If you have installed 1255c and try to join a server running 1255f and its ISI content you will be removed from the server because of hdv-mismatch etc. Also the other way around ... Of course, you can replace the content with those files of the other version to avoid mismatches. That's what we told our new users. But instead 1255c should contain the newer versions of all mods / tracks to fix the problem for everybody.
1255f is the "final" version of the "Trymedia protected" rF. F because v1255 required some updates in order to fix a problem related to the game loading time. V1255 was released so to allow a compatibility between the digital and the DVD versions, and both the versions are named 1255f.
What about F-patch for dvd version? My point is the different versions are compatible but the content bundled with them is not. This should be fixed to avoid confusion. Just bundle 1255c with the newer content that already came with 1255f.
I was just replying to Tim question about rF v1255f. BTW, as i wrote both the digital and the boxed versions are named 1255f and i guess the site points to the DVD 1255f only because it has a DVD protection system, ie it not protected by the new proprietary digital system. I might rephrase your quote with <<<1255f is the final version of the Trymedia era>>> if that helps to be more clear. I am aware about the different contents of the new 1255c, compared to 1255f, and posted the issue time ago in the internal forum.
