Hi Chris Sorry, have not seen this until now. It would be nice to get the SP version - I tried to convert it by myself, but ended up with a complete dark (not only black, I would say) background, which is fine for all cars except black or nearly black ones ;-) I can check various tools and let you know if one of them works.
Hello Dietmar, no Problem with the Delay of an Answer. The Easy Icon Creator Showroom for Single Player looks black too, but that is caused by the Fact, that the Showroom Mesh does not get rendered and that is made intentionally, to be able to get a Screenshot of the Car and it's Shadow only. And that is the Problem when you make a png Screenshot with Steam (and also other Apps i fear), because it keeps that black Color, even if there is "nothing". In DevMode, where the rF2 png Screenshot works properly, you get the Screenshot without that black Color. And that is how it has to work in SP too, to be able to get proper Screenshots, that can be used for the Icons, without the Necessity to have to remove any Background Color. But if you want to try it out, i'll send it to you.
I will check it again - basically I assumed how it works in single player / normal mode. The main disadvantage of the most showrooms I tried is the lightning which gives a slight white shining around the car if you cut it out later on (and to remove that shining is a pain). Sadly GT3 and GTE cars - which I did my own skins for the last time - do not appear in devmodes showroom or even I cannot get it to work, but if I copy the mas-files to devmode they appear in menu, but do not appear in showroom (I think the main mas-file cannot be decoded / unlocked in devmode and so the meshes cannot be loaded).
Ok - did a screenshot in SP mode and Dev mode with the EICS @redapg provided but without success as assumed :-( E.g. Nvidia Toolbar just captures the screen and so the background stays black ...
I haven't been able to get the showroom to work in either devmode or single player. Where exactly should it be extracted?
I'm having a bit of trouble here Chris I hope you can help: I know the Brabham had a long wheelbase but not quite like this... Any ideas where I've gone wrong? All the other icon sizes are scaled correctly, but these larger images are messed up for all three cars.
It's this mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2295224315 All three cars in the pack have the same issue. Everyone else's cars look fine in the car menu.
Ok, next question, I have some old skins for the Porsche GTE DLC. Due to the encryption, does the car work in DEVMODE? I only see the skippy.
Did you use the It is a bit tricky, to get DLC Cars being loaded in the DevMode Showroom. You have to very fast copy and paste a SCN File, that gets generated for the Car in the UserData Folder. Is it the Porsche_991RSR_GTE_2017?
@doddynco I would say that the Car appears properly in the Showroom and the Icons have the proper Sizes. But in your Screenshot, in the above Post, it indeed looks a bit stretched. Did you use my Icon Generator Tool to create the Icons? If yes, can you do it again and upload the DevMode Showroom Screenshot again, but this Time use the "Crop" Option (the first Checkbox on the main Site). That removes all empty Space around of the Car. Maybe that "solves" the Problem. But if Screenshot was made with the Icons from the linked zip File, i see no Reason why they should not be displayed correctly. It's a bit strange, especially when it affects only that Car.
@davehenrie Do the Following: - Copy the whole Folder Porsche_991RSR_GTE_2017 from the ..\Installed\Vehicles Folder and paste into the DevMode Vehicles Folder - Move the 2 mas files from the 3.10 and 3.11 Subfolders into the Porsche_991RSR_GTE_2017 Folder - put the GEN File from the zip File into the Porsche_991RSR_GTE_2017 Folder too and try to load a Car in the Showroom. Here it works. But unfortunately you can not drive it in DevMode.
Thank you, graphics for me are way over my comprehension. I'll slowly get it. Practiced a bit with the skippy file. Thank you for your help.
