United Sim Racers - Season 1 - sign up thread

I will be updating the sign up list in the following days based on an inquiry I did to all in the sign up list who haven't been active recently.

Based on this inquiry, Jerry and Nullsub are in; Bart, Galaga, Eddy and Ronnie are out. We got one new sign up today.

Still to receive answers from Christian, Hectari, Cosimo, Mehryar and Joe. Also don't know the status of rockerman, tjc or Gammy.

Current status is that there should be at least 15 of us, which sounds pretty good

 

I was online for a bit running some laps. It's pretty damn hard running high on the banking in the oval. I think I'll play safe and leave alot of distance between myself and the barrier.

There was some non english speaking folks in the server that didn't know the layout. I think they were confused about the route they were supposed to take.

 

I remember the first time I drove 10k version, I was lost too. Didn't know when to enter the oval section. Long time since I've been driving there. Nice to return now

 

I was confused my first time out as well. ;-)

 

After tommorrow, those who are still on the sign up list should be able to participate in the remaining events, or at least in majority of them. I will update the list based on the inquiry I have made to all those who haven't participated regularly.

This is to give right picture of our grid size for those who are considering joining us at this stage.

Still haven't got any answer from these drivers: Christian Hamilton, Mehryar, joe cronk, Gammy and rockerman. After tommorrow I will remove these drivers from sign up list if I still haven't got any answer. This is just to give a right picture of our league status. You guys are still welcome to our races at any time (just remember the password at race days).

At the moment it seems like we should have 16 drivers in the next race.

First quick try at 10k. No idea what is good laptime here. Had to play with gear ratios quite alot. Did around 2.18.0. No room for errors here. I'm "all in" kinda guy, maybe little bit of additude change wouldn't hurt here

 

There are only 4 corners where you really can gain time, the rest is just flat out.. So it's a very special track and it will be hard to go faster than your opponent. I have not done a single lap yet. I have sr4l event tomorrow, and I'll try this combo out next week.

Matt, do you want to decide/propose a time for our practice? I'm quite sure I'll be able to practice any day next week, evening. Just give me a time and I'm in

Not sure if on any other day.

I had big problems with grip in the corner coming to the main stright. Grip was awfully low with my setup which mainly concentrated on speed. Went wide several times even though I braked really early and had low speed going into the corner.

 

Practice on server ? Are there times where we can practice together ?

2:13.1 was my best lap, but none of my main rivals Robert or Kane were there so I have no idea how good it was

Hey guys, maybe I was on the wrong server but is it G6 only now?


Anyway, if that was the right server, my car was starting to over heat and I was wondering what you guys were doing to prevent that. Thanks.

 

Should be only g6 this time but I'm not sure if Holley have set it that way just yet...but practice with g6.

Not sure how long stints you had but make sure to change your gear ratio. You shouldn't be overreving with 4th gear on long straights and the top speed should be around 320km/h.
