It sounds interesting but I don't know anybody who would like to do a new track from scratch.
Here on ISI's forum we have few track guys but they are working on their own projects.

Yeah Roller Coaster and Stunt Track are portrayed in GPL.

Mad Cowie's "Final Encounter" is a humdinger.
 
All I can think of when I read this is C.A.R.T World series on the PS one, Feather mode/50% less gravity Mars mode/Sky went black with no track textures just the alpha lines or what ever they are those line to build tracks heh and Stunt mode yes all tracks would get hills and jumps like excite bike lol, now put all 3 modes together on any track you can think of and it's a whole new track even mid-ohio is fun with a few jumps in an indy car with 50% less gravity my fav was at long beach.

I like the idea but think it's still the layout creator who decides whether his/her design should be given to community or not. I mean this competition is only a contract between feels3 and winner.

That's true :) . Before I'll decide to this idea I will ask layout creators for permission.
But for now we have still one day to deadline ;)

...January will be very stressful month for me, and for the competitors too ;) and I can't wait to start work on this project, I have a lot of ideas for enviroment, buildings and objects around the track :)

No stress here - I'm just so happy that there's a great fantasy track heading our way! :)

Even though you're having hard times choosing the layout I don't think it would be good idea to create a vote for it. First of all some of the competitors may not want to make their designs public. Secondly they may have some alternative plans in case their layout doesn't win. Last reason is that you may find some plan more suitable for your ideas on environment, buildings, etc. which would make it the best choice. Just my 2 cents.
 
Phew. My entry is in... Glad I was able to cobble it together in time.

It needs time, it's not easy to choose a winner :)

You can expect winner announcement in late January.
 
I didn't count yet, but close to ~40, and no, I don't have any favourite right now. It's to early for that :)

BTW. just wanted to add, that your technique doesn't really matter, renderings, 2d drawings, sketchup files, or text describtion...
The idea is most important :)
 
Congrats Kalle! Track looks great and very well thought out for racing.
