Istanpul Park is a great track disgned by Tilke! Remind me of the old classic tracks with a lot of elevation variation!

I'm going to bet it's Atlanta. That particular course isn't nearly as well known as Road Atlanta, it is non-F1, and it is close enough to ISI that they can realistically survey the place and build a proper representation of it without flying halfway across the world or relying only on pictures, videos, etc... The costs of building one of those other tracks is potentially much higher than Atlanta, so this one makes the most sense. To me, anyway, though I could be wrong (just guessing anyway.)

I prefer the Atlanta one, had a nice flow to it, and the sweeping left hander that gradually opens up...nice!

Which one is this? Tilke's style can be perceived.
I don't like it BTW. Those never ending turns he likes so much, typically destroy tires and do not provide many chances for overtaking.

Some have said Istanbul Park is nice. Not in my opinion.
For me bahrein and malasia are his nicest tracks. Korea, Abu dabi and Singapur I don't like either

My first guess would be Atlanta too and it would be a great addition :)

Nah, Istanbul Park is really one of the most dull, awful and soulless of the modern F1 circuits.
Such a relief that it was pulled from the calender.

I don't think the track artists are based in the US and I think one of them surveyed Silverstone and Mores.

Yeah; I'm just saying it might not be him surveying a European(?) track.

In his tweet he seem to indicate it was close by.
So I am thinking it is in the states.

That's Atlanta Motorsports Park. It has a karting track as well so that's why I think this is the one Tim signed.

Thanks for the reply. Makes sense your theory. I would also bet it is in the States.

Bilster Berg looks impossible to have any passing on. Atlanta looks still very difficult to pull off a pass.

Either of those would probably be fun for driving but very tough for racing.

Disclaimer: My opinion is 100% based on the videos provided here. Both circuits just seem to be endless series of corners with no particular area to get a run on someone.

Indeed but places like COTA or Instanbul Park (plus others) have areas where a pass is possible, such as at the end of the high speed areas in to breaking zones. Though, it's not a formula that's faultless. See Shanghai and Korea.

I wasn't aware they had track artists in Europe. Now that you mention it, it certainly does make sense because of those 2 tracks. I just thought they were all based in Michigan.

Still, I think Atlanta is the most logical option for the other reasons that were brought up. As for Tilke designed tracks, for the most part I think they are sort of bland, but still have some nice qualities. My biggest complaint about his tracks is the over-use of decreasing radius corners. I personally hate those types of corners, for a couple reasons, and nearly ALL of his tracks have at least 1.

By the way, I know it might seem funny sometimes to have you guess, but twice I've had people mention content I only went after once I knew about it from community posts. It can be quite interesting to read perception of tracks before you know which it is for sure.

I'm hoping it would be Zandvoort or Bilster Berg...either of those two would be just brilliant. BB would be quite a unique track for a title, I'd think. Imagine taking the Skippy or Panoz around it XD
