Rumor is AC will tech demo EOM. Personally I'd delay the rF2 beta update until mid to late this month so I could get as much polish and updated function included as possible. Polish the mods as well because every single sim site will be comparing these titles.
We are developing rFactor2, our product. It really doesn't concern what anybody does or doesn't do. It's funny what you asked though... Because as you said, people are going to compare... Yet you're asking us to delay an update (frankly it might come before or after anyway, no idea). You don't think they would compare it before an update? After an update? In-between one? As I said, there's no point developing as a reaction to others, ever, you only cheat yourself out of time you needed. People will compare - and that's OK.
Wow, ok I thought I started my sentence with personally and not, ISI must do the following?? I never asked ISI to do anything. I only shared my opinion and I thought the forum was a place to do just that. Also, I see nothing negative about what I said, I like rF2 very much and I really enjoy the F2. The response seems out of line. I work for a Fortune 500 company and competition is everything. Comparing our offerings to our competitions is what allows us to win in the marketplace. Operating in a vacuum with no concern to what your direct competitors do is a risky gameplan. PERSONALLY, I wouldn't ignore the actions of my competition but hey that is just me and almost every successful company on the planet. And, no Tim, I don't think people will use an old build, at least not anyone trying to compare apples to apples, they'll grab the latest and greatest. Anyway, I meant no offense and I hope most who read it will see it as simply an opinion of a fan.
I disagree. I saw no malice whatsoever in tims post, starting a sentence with 'personally' implies 'if I were you' therefore that part of your protest is void also. I also agree that people will compare with any build as they are already doing. Personally.......i think you are wrong, but I don't dislike you for it
Malice?, that isn't the correct word to use, it was simply an out of line response because I didn't ask for anything. Who's launching a protest and what part is void? e.g. If you friend says, "Personally I'd paint this room blue" do you think that means your friend just "asked" you to paint that room blue? Or does it mean your friend simply shared their opinion what they would do? It is the latter. Comprehension isn't that flexible. Not a big deal but I did think the declaration of we don't care what anyone else does was a bit over the top.
