I'm exactly the opposite, the FR is so unstable now on my machine, the rears light up with only a little throttle,it's definitely become harder to control for me,my t300 rattles violently when driving straight, but goes light just after turn in
I had a similar experience with the FR 3.5 after its update , steering was really light but had rattle and bumps but after i restarted the Sim and turned damping back on in the control panel it's like a different car , mind you i am running the multiplier at 1.60 . Weird but true , i can now feel the car where before it actually felt like the FFB was reversed , the steering would fall off to the side i was turning .
CSW v2 here.

I've changed the FFB multiplier as you mentioned and wow, now I feel the improvement as described by you and @patchedupdemon.
I wonder what this config is supposed to be as it changes the car behavior completely, it feels like I turned off assists.
AI is still slower though. Anyway keep up the good work.

not sure what's going on, are there still dx11 advanced shaders coming ( as they were held back )
or have we had them now ?

not moaning just not sure if updates were only optimisations - which have been nicely effective
or included shaders too?

The Panoz roadster was a car that I've previously given little time too. Just for gits and shiggles I took the updated version for a blast around a few tracks and it's now going straight into my favourites. Looks great, sounds phenomenal, has a perfectly decent default setup, handles like a dream and is just generally a huge blast to throw sideways around small tracks like Oulton. I'm really impressed with the quality of the S397 vehicle updates. The day they release an updated Skip Barber and/or 370Z I'll be taking the next day off work.

With DX11 shaders one wouldn't be able to drive these updated cars on the DX9 build, so it probably wouldn't be a smart move as long as the DX11 branch is still in beta. As far as I know, these car updates mostly just make materials more compliant with post FX, unless other changes are mentioned, like with the Civic.

That is not correct. DX11-content is fully compatible with DX9. It just has updated materials for use in DX11, and in some cases updates physics, like so said.

Yeah that was my point. If you add DX11 shaders to these cars, they won't work anymore in DX9.

This panoz is really fun. I have been trying to get into driving race cars lately but this panoz just reminded me about how much more fun the roadcars are in rf2. I hope NSX gets update too.

Unfortunately the panoz loses its front suspension graphics when opponents are more than a few car lengths away in cockpit view.

I tried USF2000 on Nola track. The car is said to be updated for dx11, but has a gray sphere at its back :(
(USF2000 2016 1.5)

lots of folks have run the US2000 at Nola and have not seen that problem.
make sure you first clear the two folders, cbash and shaders. Keep the folders but delete everything in them.
You should be able to find them in the Steam Install folders:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\Log\Shaders\*.*"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\rFactor 2\UserData\Log\CBash\
Make sure you are subscribed to the dx11 version of the US2k and not the older dx9 variant.
And also make sure you have the latest dx11 version of Nola as well.
