I hope they implement a direct link to the league of the server we're joining...

That's your opinion. The fact that in the least cases they attended a request is not representative IMO. That's what I think so don't quote me lying. I maintain my statement.

So you're saying ISI *never* added something that the community requested? You're saying that Studio397 are not adding anything that the community requested?

ISI was not a "Game developer" they were a race physics/sandbox developer. They developed rF1 and then licensed the engine to other "developers". Modders filled the void of tracks and 3rd party cars. I suspect they intended to do this w/ rF2 as well but it never materialized. Their development speed was simply too slow and modding for rF2 was too difficult compared to other sims. Add to this they had NO marketing department to speak of. Everybody remember those great rF2 commercials? Nope? Me either.

I am glad S397 has purchased rF2 and are continuing to develop the game, but they also are suffering from NO marketing department. All news from S397 have been through conventions, roadmaps, and niche websites. In fact the only people who have ever heard of rF2 are sim racers. I can guarantee you that non-sim racing gamers have heard of Forza, Grand Turismo, Project Cars, and IRacing. Why? Because they have marketing departments.

S397 have brought rF2 a LONG way from where it was when they purchased it, but that only goes to show how far behind it was under ISI's poor development style and pace. I fear ISI's awful handling of rF2 has dug it into a hole that S397 won't be able to have enough time, money, and advertisement to get it out of.

    God I hope I'm wrong.

rFactor2 has all the potentiality to become a success. All they need to do is to put all in place and after that they can think about marketing, for sure those pCars, AC, iRacing, etçª will come for sure when all is ready to go. I've already seen hundreds of people coming or being interested in rFactor2 already, just give it time for Studio397 to work, we'll see the success coming ;)

I am afraid they have all but time.
    Cheers.

Sometimes is easier to start from scratch than fix a mess. I hope S397 is considering to develop a new rF3 using only the very physics core and rebuilding everything around. Certain things are currently so complicated and linked to other sim areas that I have doubts if band-aids are feasible.
