rFactor 2 Online Tools by Chris “redapg”

Well, good news guys!
Chris has developed (still WIP) a new tool that helps you in:
- converting a rFactor1 TBC file to rFactor2, adding the TGM files and resizing them according to the TBC
- changing / resizing the TGM files of an existing rFactor2 Mod

First post updated.

How about a perfect active ride height calculator with numbers combined from wings, body and diffusor downforce and drag? Like kangaloosh carfactory used to make :)
Good job with the existing stuff

First post has been updated for improved and new tools that are now on available.
What I really ask you for helping in improving the tool is to send an email to chris_rf2onl@gmx.de each time you got an issue!

Let me explain sincerely... we have noticed a lot of attempts in generating the files without a good result and we have also noticed some issue on provider side about the way some formula is managed... If you do not inform Chris about the problems you found, he cannot improve the tool.
I have to say that several times the generated files fail to work in rFactor2 for an error in entering data without following the right procedure, step by step! It isn't my intention to offend anybody, that is only what happens and it is important to clarify that.

I know that is not very easy to do everything in the best way entering data, uploading the files with right contents, but the help the tools can give in developing/converting a mod to rF2, is great! So, please, in case of difficulties, do not hesitate to send an email to Chris. Thank you

A new update to the online tools, with the "red" button for generating the whole set of rF2 physics files starting from rF1 files.

In this way you are leaded in the process, starting with the update of the original rF1 TBC file adding the TGM file(s) that better matches your needs, resizing it. Then the process continues managing the rF1 HDV + rF1 PM files that are required for generating the new rF2 HDV file (with the entries of the steering wheel) and the full flex chassis.INI

Please, look at the above post in case of difficulties!

Another updated to the Online Tools by Chris "redapg":
  • Tire Resize and Monitor Tool: can handle TGM Files with up to 99 nodes now
  • Engine Conversion Tool (rF1 -> rF2) and the Tool to modify the Engine Power: Flash charts added to show power and torque curves
  • Editor for the CustomPluginVariables.JSON has a better usability for setting the KnockoutQualifying rules

Another great tool has just been added by Chris "redapg": the DAMPER GENERATOR!

At least to me, dampers and their values in rF2 are almost "mysterious" and the tool gives you a great help in "translating" real data of a manufacturer damper chart into rF2.

Thank you Chris!

NEW GREAT ADDITION for generating a rFactor2 engine (also Turbo)!

Yes, Chris developed and released another tool, that can be used to generate rFactor 2 Engine Files, also with a Turbo Charger.
It is VERY WIP and in Beta Phase, but it would be nice, if somebody could test it and send feedback to "chris_rf2onl (at) gmx.de", if gets problems or want to suggest something.

Thank you.
