i'm trying to add a logo but i have problems
the logo must be 500x500px? .png format?

i have upload a logo but in preview i see only car icon without logo

and then when i press continue i have

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 17640 bytes) in /users/meetme/www/rF2_onlineTools/rF2GGeninfo/uiiconcreator.php on line 890

@Mauro Thank you for reporting the Issue and sorry for the Inconveniences.
It seems that there was a Modification from bplaced, that makes it almost impossible to use the "add another Picture" Function.
I will remove that Function soon.
Until then, please don't use it anymore.

BTW you also can use a simple temporary 1 Poly Plane with a Logo or another Picture, that gets loaded with the Cars Spinner GEN File, to add it to the Icon.

Is it possible to have your tools on .exe format?

Thank you, it's always good to see that the Tools are used and liked. :)
But i am no Programmer and have only some limited Skills in php and html.
And to learn a programming Language that allows to create Executables, i'm to old for and also don't have the Time to do that.
So "no", from my Site there is no Chance to get them in exe Format, sorry.
 
hmm maybe someone could put your scripts into some exe and run it in a browser? idk xD I studied very little of coding
@The Iron Wolf is the guy that added rF2 and some other titles to Crew Chief, he sure knows what can be done

The Advantage of an exe File is, that it don't needs a Browser. ;)
And the Scripts, that now use php, html and sqlite, would have to be "translated" into a coding Language that is necessary to create an exe File, which will be a bigger Job i guess.
As an Example, the largest Script has ~14200 Lines of php/html and i guess you would need more Lines to get it coded for an exe File.

I meant, this runs on client side and server side, right? Making it an app would mean the PC would run both sides so I don't think a rewrite of the whole thing is needed. I could be wrong ofc.

The only Way to get these Scripts running unchanged on your PC, is to use an own localhost Web-Server, that supports php and sqlite.
That is what i do, when i write the Scripts.
But for that, you would need to have all Scripts and other Things, that are necessary to get them working properly.
But i currently have no Plans to offer the Tools as a Download, because i don't want to have them spreaded all over the Web without to have the Control about it. :)
As said, to get an exe File it needs a complete different Code.
 
The Icon Creator Tool is online again.
Unfortunately, due to some Modifications on the bplaced Host, i had to completely rewrite the Script.
Also the Function, with that i could remove the empty Space from all 4 Sides of the Screenshots, don't works anymore.
Now the Script is doing this:
The uploaded Files remain unchanged and are used to create all needed Icons.
The only Thing for that you have to take care, is the Name of the uploaded File(s).
To get a proper Set of Icons, the uploaded Screenshot Files should have the exact same Name like their according veh File.
The Name "Additions" like -icon-2048x1152, -icon-1024x576 and so on, are added automatically.

Please report all Problems here or send me a Mail to the Mail Adress, that can be found on the Tools main Site. :)

that's a shame, it was a very useful feature
i have to add new icons to a wip project, now i'm redoing all old icons :D

anyway thanks for your great tool, it saved me days and days of work ;)

I'll try to find another Way to get it working again, but i can not tell you if it will be successful and how long it will last to find a Way.
I also liked that Function and i unfortunately don't know what has changed on the Server, that it don't works properly anymore.
There are no helpful Error Messages shown.
 
New Update for the Icon Creator Tool (i hope the last one :)): directly after posting the above contribution, i remembered something, where i had a similar Problem with a Function, that stopped working without any apparent Reason and that i could solve.
So i tried it out with the Function that removes the empty Space from the png Screenshots.
That seems to work and it is again available as an Option in the Script.
Please report any Problems.

Unfortunately, multiple F5 does not help.

That F5 doesn't help is a bit strange.
Did you upload 6 Screenshots?
If yes, try it with 5.
If that also doesn't work, you could send me the Files that you upload (eMail Adress from the Tools main Side), that i can try to reproduce the Problem.
And if you do it, please also tell me which Browser you do use.

Yes, max 6 Skins at the same Time, to try to stay inside of the several Limitations of the bplaced Host.
 
@redapg hey chris! want to say thanks for making this tool! I've tried to use it to convert a f1 mod from rfactor 1 but didn't know where to start, is there a step by step tutorial that helps with the basics? much appreciated!
