Check this thread, seems like a lot of nvidia users had some good results. I have an AMD card so I can't really help you. http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/12633-4x-Better-Graphics-and-way-more-FPS-Guide
thanks Mrslfsl i pretty much know that stuff, although i dont use nvidia inspector , is anyone else using it? everyone with nvidia cards? anyway i'll continue fiddling, try acheive an fps of 80 to 100 for fluidity etc
I have always used nv inspector, between forums of Rise of Flight, racing sims, DCS and FSX, I have always gotten real decent enhancements to graphics from listening what the "graphic geeks" find time to post.
My card is a 570, but I use inspector and the settings that Bart S. put on this site for improved graphics. I don't try to go high and mighty with all settings but with most like Bart suggests I have mine locked at 80 fps maximum right now. Testing last night I didn't dip below that. However, only one other person was in server and we were never together.
Interesting, I just formatted and reinstalled Rise of Flight and FSX yesterday. I'll have to find those settings.
Anybody knows if there is some kind of default HDR profile applied if I choose "none" in the settings tab in the garage?
All sorted although having to run at much lower resolution for a decent fps compared to a couple of builds ago Will not go any lower on resolution as it's borderline ( 3990x720 ) I'd forgotten how darn good rf2 actually feels! Smoke etc looks really good now too, Really looking for ward to next update The isi servers with live stats link was a totally brill idea I'm not sure if it's because my Titan is quite a high end card and rf2 is not updated to use higher end cards yet????? Although I manage fine, I wish that updater thingy would also be an installer ( & component selector/downloader/updater etc) Few friends have given up due to this & will not mess in .ini files to get usable fps etc / few will not buy it because my other friends moan about this !*!%!
I don't even think rF2 has .ini files to tweak. I installed my 780ti, put every setting to max (apart from shadows and reflections which are on medium and low respctively), put my resolution on 5200*1050 and everything was fine. Start of a race (at the back) gives me around 80ish fps and overall I'm usually hovering around 100-120fps so I can't complain. But I do feel the pain of AMD users after being in that same boat for quite a long time
If you are not blessed with a system like yours Timpie, one does need to dive into files There's plenty to fiddle with in multiplayer and PLR.ini files. In fact, there's enough different things one could experiment with and as Adrian mentioned, dishearten people with it
hiya i run in nvidia 3d vision so that eats up about another 33ish %, i ahve a high spec system to run it all though but do make effort to squeeze every single extra frame i can, it makes a big diference for racing sims etc gosh isi have done an amazing job on the smoke effects & how they react to light etc
hello everyone i've had to do a new install of windows and now rf2 does not want to run installed and reisntalled several times and mos are installed correctly it wont let me go any further than this
