rFactor 2 - Another new car introduction

Just got back from the (slightly disappointing) Chicago Auto Show.

Auto shows seem a lot less fun when every stand seems to be actually trying to sell you a street car rather than just show off what they raced recently. What happened to the good old days when you could just go to look at the racecars? :)

Anyway, one of the car builders sent this screenshot of a car newly slotted into the rFactor 2 lineup. Enjoy.

I'm glad the Nissan 370z is going to be in the game, the picture is lack luster and I can't identify the track.

I want some more video previews :)

Hmm, this Screenie looks rather nice Tim. Any info if there was some editing involved?
The track's texture quality is pretty nice as well. Colors seem more natural than the ones I've seen in the Sepang shots (especially the grass), but maybe that's just me. :)

The car: Pretty nice to see that there'll be some nice licenced content right from the start, but sorry for the dumb question, but in which series does this 370Z actually start? This is a GT4, right?
And the selfshadowing under the spoiler et cetera seems pretty sharp now too. Once all the PostFX are implemented, rFactor 2 will look great. Models and textures are top notch already, track- and car-wise.

But what I'm more curious about is how rFactor 2 actually feels like when racing. The waiting is killing me. :)

All respect , but IMHO i prefer silence instead of this type of screen eheh =)

From a RF/RF2 fan.. :)

Or the simple notice.. or a more approfondite series of screens =)

Well as stated with each screenshot, including this one: WIP. You're not seeing many things still on any screenshots or videos. It's possible it was a different time of day in the session, different cloud cover or that the devs altered some of the graphics options/settings.

Boy, sounds like a tough job but I guess somebody has to do it Tim. :p

On a more serious note...lol. Nice screenie!!

Nice screen shot, but the car looks a bit out of place to me. Maybe I'm just used to the fake car shadow from rF1.

is a dream!
wish I could play this dream ...
but not a ray of light from a cloudy sky shows a possible release date ...
then, when you wake up to play this dream he was so old.

Track and car looks great, just wondering about 1 thing and thats the shadow grounding the car
it doesn't seem to make the car look like its sitting on the track. Not sure if ive explained myself properly
I realize that its WIP but just wondering if some other effects have yet to be applied ?

Thanks for the update

Here go again but i dont like the screen. Something's wrong, maybe it's the perspective but the car doesnt appear to stand on tarmack.

As the model itself, not enough poly for my taste.
