From what I understand you via Google Translate, I agree with you completely and ISI could save in some things perhaps too much time to work more efficiently - if the ISI would really.

I guess what it comes down to is they could post a picture of dog diarrhea with rFactor2's logo is in the corner and it wouldn't matter I AM STILL BUYING IT.

I just hope they don't ruin the GUI. (Not like the old one was perfect) but iPod-esque shuffle nonsense would suck.

Apparently I'm one of the few people who can appreciate a WIP screenshot without complaining. Sure, it doesn't look perfect yet but I'm glad that Tim/ISI are continuing to give us sneak peeks in spite of all the negativity.

    Keep it coming, I say!

From now on, ISI should release screenshots as follows:

    Show 370z

Don't show the actual images. It'll be easier on everyone.

I'd have no problem with it. I would be just as excited. They could just show an untextured render of the car as well instead of it in-game and unfinished.

    As well as I would.
The plain information is enough until graphical representation is not ready do show with expected quality.

I'd have to agree with WiX when he suggested ISI should be talking to the mod teams. It's been these teams work and development that has given rF1 the life span it has enjoyed over the past 5 now going on 6 years. These teams have made vast improvements in physics, both cars and tracks. File structure and comprehension. Model detail and use of LOD's to get a far better, Higher poly count model's into rF1 without losing performance and FPS on mid range PC's. Many of these mods still support DX7 though not all. I'd have to admit it's a lot of work to support a DX that in reality is obsolete. It is a shame ISI haven't taken advantage of this vast pool of knowledge and know how that exists within our rFactor community. Off cause there's the thought of this development leaking out of one of these teams but first consider this. These teams work in their own little communities. It's been very rare that anything has be release or taken from these teams without consent or knowledge of the team itself. All members know and understand the need to keep everything in house with their own work just as all ISI members and stuff do.

I'm kinda confused why ISI does anything for a "community" that expresses itself like some of the posts in this thread. I'd just like to say the people waiting patiently don't necessarily post. To try to counter some of the negativity in this thread: Thanks for the WIP. 370Z mmmmm.

If the 370Z drives like the cars in Netkar Pro, I don't care what it looks like!!

I really wish Gjon, Tim and company would not say or show another thing about rFactor 2 till the "it's gold" announcement.

They're a small development group who has to depend on real race team sales of their software for funding, so we all can enjoy rFactor-anything. If a customer comes along that needs attention, and needs it now, it has to push back timing on rFactor 2. That is how they help get their funding.

The diatribes, snorts and fits that some people post doesn't help anyone except the individual to vent their emotions. Some of you act like a 7 year old and it is 0600 Christmas morning.

Does anyone think ISI doesn't want rFactor 2 to go gold as soon as possible so they can recover their development expenditures? For God's sake people, give them the respect they deserve and allow them to do their job. It is done when they say it is done, not when you yell the loudest.

Come on people. This sim racing community is better than that.

I hope so! Some of the sim racing communities have become embarassing and pathetic.

The good thing is, you can really see who is a real person and who is a troll.

So while it gets on my nerves always reading those stupid negativ comments, I'm quite chilled because ISI can isi (easy) rate which comment is from a user with something called brain.

I'm just waiting for the release-day and in the meantime look at the pictures and videos.

It's all good ISI, we got your back :p

New cars, rain, drying lines on the track, animations are all fine and dandy AND appreciated, but what sort of support will there be for Drag Racing..........straight line point-to-point stuff. will a drag race start tree be possible that will work. i'm the creator of www.dragfactor.net and RF2 will make me or break me
