SOLVED Reported crashing with new build

And just to be clear. THE d3d9.dll fix only pertained to the original update in MID JANUARY for the GT3 Challengers pak. The more recent crashes, tied to the new skins and templates, seem to have a different issue. Try unsubscribing from all GT3 content and the resubscribe. Good luck.

The d3d9.dll is not a default rF2 file.
It will only be in the Bin64 folder if a third party plugin has been installed in rF2.
So don't worry about it not being there.
Unfortunately that means the problem is something else.

Hi,
i wanted to play RF2 today after some long time, and found it not work with a message saying "RF2 stopped working" right after the splash screen RF2 logo.
I already un-installed and resinstalled the whole staff (build 1112), but got the same issue.
Looking in forums, i tried everything from deleting the config.in, player.json, setting administrator rights to rfactor.exe etc etc.
Anyone has some glue for this problem? I really don't know how to understand what is not working.
I've tryed to run in dev mode, getting this trace, that say nothing to me.... Many thanks

I have the issue where rFactor2 crashes back to desktop when I try to load the track or the showroom (via vehicle > tuning).

The game starts correctly, and keeps working right until the moment the car should be loaded (after the enter track loading screen should dissapear or the car should load in the showroom. It crashes back to desktop without any error message.

I tried to select various mods, disabled all plugins, re-installed the game and did a steam integrity check, but to no success.

When I go back a build to v1111 or any lower the game works fine, but when using v1112 it does not. It worked last week, but I saw steam updating the game last week (january update) and since then it does not work anymore.

Can anybody help me with this issue?
 
I uninstalled and will delete Steam rF2 before reinstalling. See if that does the trick?
But if it's the DLC's won't they just install when I install rF2 again?

Need now a good way to delete all rfactor2 and re-installed property, or perhaps waitting for a patch, i m sure i m not the only one sorry.
lost 5 h for make a game works, great rfactor2, i know you, you kind of girl i like...

that was video setting for me, not apply only with english choice

I tried everything here, but I can only run the game until V1112, the game is just the screen with the logo and stops working, some solution to this problem?

I have no plugins installed.
 
These files do not appear to me in these folders, and in fact I can only run the game up to V1111, is there a list of the files that are changed following the updates?
 
I don't think so.
Check integrity files.
Delete cbash and shaders content.
There has been some third party content with problems since this build. Try to use original content to discard this.
 
I ran the indicated but did not work, returning the V1111 version works perfectly, canceled all the workshop items that were few and nothing has changed. Thanks for the help.
