SOLVED Reported crashing with new build

Hey guys,

We have noticed a few of you having issues with crashing on the new build. This appears to be from 3rd party unsporrted plugins which are causing problems.

So to fix - Please clean your installation by simply deleting the Bin64 folder and let Steam verify your files.

Thanks,

Studio 397

I did the suggested above and it also solved the problem.

But after that, I made some tests with all my plugins, to see if I could find the 'faulty' one and turns out the problem was caused by a single file, inside the Bin64 folder:

d3d9.dll

Once I moved the file from the folder, all worked just fine, including all of my plugins.

If you guys want to test that out, make sure to create a backup of your d3d9.dll, just in case.

Cheers!

I turned off shadows and it worked. Once I turned them back on, even on low, it CTD. With shadows enabled, I can join a track but get CTD when it loads a car. Spectator mode is fine until someone joins and a car is loaded.

same thing here.

activating shadows now results in CTD after track is loaded...

Deleting the Bin64 folder means to delete all external plugins. Then, we don't have telemetry, bodyshakers, third dash panels, hotlaps, liveview, etc.
OK, i suposse that this is temporary.

Removing the d3d9.dll file from the Bin32 and Bin64 folders solved the problem for me. At least so far everything is running great. Thank you for the feedback!

It seems that only modding content are effected.
I cant find a d3d9.dll in the rf2 directory only in an AMSbeta folder, deleting the bin64 folder did not help.

Fantastic job, first u take away ffb plugin, now u taking all rest, i am amazed. Wonder what more stick me with this game.

Damplugin seems to give me the issue but i want telemetry...
