Hello sim racers!
With the new feature allowing you to race against content you don’t own live in our current Release Candidate build, we have put up a Release Candidate server for players to use during this development phase.
The server is running ourBTCC, GT3 and free Radical SR3 car, on the Nürburgring Endurance circuit. This server will be accessible only with the current rFactor 2 Release Candidate build and is called S397 RC Fun Race in the multiplayer server list.
Edit 16.02: New content on server, now running Portland, All BTCC, All GT3, Porsche 911 Cup, RCCO Ex Zero, Formula E Gen 2, Radical SR3.
As you may well already know, the new feature allows you to join and race against cars you do not own, provided you have the car you wish to drive available in your inventory, and the cars you are racing against are installed.
To help us gather more test data and ensure this feature behaves as expected ahead of public release, Studio 397 would be grateful if community members who don’t own all the content hosted on the server could try and join to run a few laps. The idea is to ensure you successfully manage to both join the server, and have the ability to see which cars you don’t own from the car select screen (and you are not able to pick them to drive), and that you can also see those unowned cars on track.
If you experience any issues when trying to join, or unexpected behaviour, please report this in either the #bug-reports section of the rFactor 2 Discord channel, or raise a report in the Bug Reports section of the Studio 397 forum.
As a token of our gratitude for the support with these tests offered by our community, we will be selecting 3 players who entered the server and drove at least 3 laps and rewarding them with the full DLC content releases of rFactor 2.
Thank you in advance for your help with these tests – see you on track!
