Remember guys, you can right-click to change in 10s, and middle-click for 50s. Should help if it's slow.

 

Seriously? I spent an hour figuring out how to get in on the original and now I need to start over. I get the reasons....Something that baffled me was the Toyota. Even though I knew I needed it, it wasn't showing up on the dlc list.

Well I got the changes installed and when the track loads it gets but before the car list comes up the game crashes. Portland worked just fine in Single player...

I did two tests and at least here on my pc it worked very well.

When trying to enter the server, he was already informed of the error due to missing content, appearing only the option to return to the main menu or close the game! Suggestion; When this error occurs due to lack of content. Could a new option appear besides the menu and exit, to go straight to the content manager?

Upon returning to the main menu, I went to content manager and the game started to download and update the content.

OBS "After updating all the content it kept giving error, because I hadn't downloaded Radical SR3. I had to do it manually, go back to Steam and sign up, after that everything was perfect

I don't have any paid dlc. I did two complete sessions, without any problem, when choosing the car, they all appear, but I can only select the ones I have, the ones I don't have, when I click on it, the store page appears to buy.

During the sections the opponents appeared without any problem.

I don't understand why you need to have this radical from the workshop Is it required for everything to work?

 

How do we get for exemple : Ex_ZERO or Formula E from de shop without paying it? Cause it's asked to run the test
Where can we get this other way?

 

My bad I had to go to Content Manager and Store Content tab to download them
same for tab Workshop Content

 

for Devs The downloading screen in Content Manager or on the game loading screen desappear after a few moments before the end of the dowbnload
The continuing of the downbload can only be seen on Steam

it is not easy to understand which cars I have to download among all this list because there are cars I already own

 

yes just need to manual download the missing content inside the game and reboot game
when enter 2nd time in rf2 you can enter the RC server to do some laps
i had problem installing missing content but i retried for second time after game reboot and worked

 

Yeah, sounds like that's something they're aware of, not sure if it'll be improved by the initial release though. Reminded me of buying missing DLC - I had to actually take notes (yes Kevin, notes!) to work out what I had and didn't.

So hopefully they'll get that to a point where it actually just tells you what's missing. (and maybe even with links as some have suggested, or a specialist tab in the content management that then shows the items you were just missing, with the server name you couldn't join...)

 

Well after yesterday's disaster with the frames in the green hell (min 15 max 19) today I try the RC again. Comment that if you do not have the circuit installed the VMOD does not appear on the list (I think that being free content I should automatically download it as until now). Once subscribed to Portland, the VMOD is in the local content list indicating in orange that is missing content and in the right column if the mods we need appear.

I select the missing content and install it

After this I check that all this ok and I can enter the server

Ah, you've actually added a car that I don't own! The ExZero! So I installed it through Content manager/ Store items (V easy to do), and then joined server and chose one of the Formula E's (which I do own of course). Happy to say I joined with no problems at all! What was amazingly good fun was when it got to race, there were a few GT3's, A Radical, and my F-E. I only bloody won, in and F-E! Ha!!! (Radical much quicker through the corners though, on a tighter twistyer cuircuit sure it would have one). The acceleration up to about 100mph in the F-E is damn quick. This is brilliant!

 

Tried with a Steam account that doesn't have any DLC and it worked well.

The only big issue was finding out what content I hadn't installed. Given that the competition system does it, I see no reason why it couldn't be done for custom servers, or at least say WHAT content wasn't present instead of the user having to take screenshot of 3 pages of content and find the missing ones. Also the names in the list are those that I could see in ModMgr and not those more user-friendly in the UI.

 

Have all the content , correct versions, even went through with a mate who can join but I can't. ModMgr says damaged mod.

 

UI functions were slow, example adding fuel etc. Otherwise works well.

 

Curious some Radical "floating" in Portland.

Go to content manager and install all the DLC cars you don't own that are used on the server.

Had a go last night and it worked perfectly. Someone on Discord confirmed there's no limit to the number of car models on track at a time. Which I find amazing really after seeing how other sims have butted against this as a technical issue for years. Really promising. I turned up owning only I think 2 or 3 of the many cars allowed in the session. Had track day vibes in that you run what you brung, but can also have a nosey and some of the fancy stuff other people have bought.

Only 5 of us in the session but had a bit of a race with another GT3 and a radical. I say race and actually mean I just maintained a 1-2 second gap for 8 laps before spinning into pitwall on the penultimate lap. Was interesting to see the Radical keeping up through the corners, but getting dropped a bit on the straights. Proper track weapon considering it costs a fraction of a GT3.
