The front wheel drive cars are a blast. I can really feel the high center of gravity in these 'egg cars' of today. They want to go over so easy. That's just the way the real ones feel on winter mountain roads here in the Rockies. They scare the hell out of me in real life but quite entertaining in PC2. What I don't understand why they get such a high safety rating?
the one that wants impressions of project car 2 that goes to its forum , that except graphics have nothing interesting by the way, it's a play stone
Has anyone played this since the latest "patch 7" ? I had put it aside after patch 6 and spent all my time on rF2. Tried PC2 again after the latest patch and wow! rF2 now goes to the sidelines until there's a new UI and the logitech steering issue is sorted. admittedly it takes a 3rd party FFB setup to make PC2 feel good for me (Jack Spade FFB files), but rF2 seems to rely on 3rd party everything.
Well my friend about a month or more ago i had the super luck to find from google search someone who had modified to the best result a FFB ini file for Pcars 2 and it was for thustmaster T300 wheel. that little 8 kilobyte file transformed pcars 2 from garbage to super awesome !!!!. but.... no way to put aside RF2 or Automobilista because the dont look pretty . pcars 2 has the worst AI in Racing game history and still handling even with the perfect FFB feels mediocre and uninspired makes me wanna stop racing after a while. anyone have Thrustmaster T150 or T300 i can give him the FFB file. it resurrects pcars 2.
Hmm, I wasn't going to bother even after Patch 7 but my curiosity is rising a bit. I use Jack Spade on G920 and got FFB ok but the overall feel was still not enough. Now with ACC to fiddle with I'm not sure how much more I want to tweak FFB files for PC2. It never ceases to amaze me how great FFB is on rF2 with just 2 settings to tweak!
Rfactor2’s settings are truely superior Borderline magical Other sims don’t seem to have a clue They should just try to copy it -other ISI based sims are of course good too being from the same devs
Second worst AI. AC still holds worst AI record IMHO. Even so, despite that and the lack of yellow flags, I continue to find enjoyment with pCARS2 because of its classic race cars that are reasonably represented in simulation.
The only way for pcars 2 AI to understand where is my car in the track is to hit me they do that 100 times per race is topped playing pcars 2 offline cause i just cant
the new way of trail breaking is named : "i use the back of your car to brake no matter if you can maintain your race line or kiss the barrier" online drivers use it a lot in games like pcars 2 and assetto corsa. its a new way of braking
Has anyone tried the F40 in the new DLC release in PC2? I just moved and my sim is in many pieces down stairs, which is wall to wall stuff. Also, now that I think of it, a moder here in rF2 was working on the turbo lag for his F40 mod last I read. Has anyone heard any updates on this project? Sorry for the off topic.
No, as I've been spending time with the 250 TR and 250 GT Berlina. Aero for those 2 are pretty dang good, with the TR being just a little scary with those pontoon fenders. Cockpit sounds are good, but exterior sounds from trackside cameras are too artificial. Nice to finally have playmates for the Aston Martin!
yes, initially it's not as good as you think it was going to be, but after a while you get into the groove and it becomes a good drive.
I know what you mean. Its hit and miss for me to. rF2's physics are just so good. I just wished it was polished as good as Project Cars. I would pay up front for just a rumor of rFactor 2's physics in Project Cars graphics. They could call it "rFactor Cars" or "Project rFactor"?
i just think PC2 is alike a jack of all trades just doesnt excel in any area. Every aspect is like ok,, apart from the visuals they do look good. But its sim that's far too many cars too perfect with physics ai etc etc
