WIP: little step ahead in improving the original visor of rFactor... below you can see the new "enhanced visor rain": and the "visor rain plus" that shows also part of the inside helmet: We have planned to release a pack, like we did for the Position Led Panel https://forum.studio-397.com/index.php?threads/smmg-position-led-panel-how-to.60691/#post-953415 to share with the community the "rain visor for OW". All that thanks to the genius of Chris "redapg".
First post has been updated with the build 1.15, updates and improvement are: - updated realtime session for tire CPM - fixed disc glow due to code changes - updated to full rain effect (body, driver, helmet) - added scratchable damages - added NEW rain effects to visor options Special thanks to Chris "redapg". Visor effects were improved a little bit more vs. images of the previous post images that were WIP.
First post updated with the new build 1.16 for the "tear-off" visor (also with its gauge as option) for the visors that allow the rain drops effect. Enjoy the new feature!
Few times ago I was aware that a mate was painting few nice liveries for this niche mod... nothing to do with the physics, but few good looking skins are always welcome! For this reason, thanks to @Andrea1968 , the next build will have 10 new liveries (duplicated as the original ones for Factory and Sim classes). Here few of them, I must say much better than the neutral factory livery:
I would remember that the Predator's mod provides 2 classes, one strictly Factory and one for Sim purposes, where tires last much less and gears ratio can be adapted to longer tracks... for this reason I just added the position led panels that in green or in yellow led shows different classes other than the position in race... Above the green led panel in use for Factory class:
First post has been updated with the new build 1.23: - added 10 new liveries for each class (painted by Andrea1968) - renamed cars adding "SE" to each driver of Sim Edition class - added Position Led Panels for each class - added raindrop mirrors feature - fixed wrong shadow on body Special thanks to Chris "redapg".
Firstly, thank you and your team for the awesome mods you are making available for us to enjoy. Drove the Predator this morning and while watching replays I noticed that while cornering the front wheels snap to the outside / opposite position. I also remember seeing this behaviour on the GP3 mod, initially; the 2018 version seems fine. This is only visually, it doesn't happen in real time, replays are at max quality and no driving aid is involved. Here is a clip if the above does not make sense.
Thanks for reporting. It is something that happens randomly and it is almost impossible to reproduce it... I have an idea about it, we'll investigate.
First post has been updated with new build 1.26: - fix of a sudden wrong visual countersteering of the front wheels that happens only in replay with some devices
I have been able to put a helmet and driver suit in game, but what is the naming convention for an alternate visor?
I'll update the mod adding the icons for the new ui, checking if everything still works correctly due to the improvement to the rFactor2 code in the time ... I wished to add the new Predators, the real life car manufactured few time ago, but without a guy that for free can model the new and modified 3d parts... ...no way to release it.
I just took a look at the mod and everything is okay, only icons need to be updated for the new web UI and I'll make them in the next weeks
as promised, new build is available and first post has been updated... Build 1.27: - updated SFX file for level sounds of opponents - added new icons for both old UI and new WEB UI - added 1 more car in Factory and Sim Edition, tribute to Magic Gianca - updated Talent
A quick update Build 1.28: added option for HEAT HAZE (default = deactivated) partially recovered suspension movement for AIs (due to some problem in the code)
first post has been updated Build 1.29 January 13th, 2022: - tuned driver's suit for new rF2 rain functionality
