Please help.
How do I get rf2 to update the Mercedes to v1.17? Nothing automatically download to me. Unfortunately, I cant remove item in the steam and re-add it to force a new download and update...

Go to Steam - User Name - Choose Inventory

Choose rFactor 2 from your Inventory tabs & select the Mercedes, then go to View Workshop Item:

From there you can Unsubscribe & then re-subscribe again

One of the big questions I have is: if there are leagues running other 3rd-party mods like Apex GT3, would they look to change their series in future to run the 'base' S397 GT3 Pack? And if not, why not? As far as I can tell, the S397 cars are equal of Apex in terms of physics and graphics quality; some may say better. If it's simply the set of cars on offer, why is that? If so, adding a 2nd GT3 pack with more cars makes sense so long as the licensing cost isn't prohibitive. But if leagues refuse to move, what then? We need more people hosting/leagues of the base pack in my opinion, because I don't see S397 hosting this themselves (lack of tracks as much as anything else).
 
I finally tested the full pack to compare their FFB levels with others cars. Apart from the conclusions reached regarding my test I have to say that the quality is very uneven. McLaren and Radical are way better than the rest. The rest are a joke.
 
ah that's a shame its in my cart. I want rf2 so much to be polished I really do. I want to press buy and support the studio but I don't want to waste my money either. But after pc2 fed up wasting money on empty promises.

just had great races with the usf at bathurst so much fun with the ai!

I can´t confirm that. I prefer Radical and Corvette, because both are nearly the same for me. MCLaren and Bentley are ok but the loss of centerforce while understeer is a bit to much for me while the AMG looses nearly the whole centerforce caused by the low caster so thats nearly undriveable for me because the loss of all feedback.

Yeah, I find the Corvette and Radical somehow similar and the ones I feel more confident with. The AMG feels completely different but without having ever driven one, I couldn't say it feels right or wrong, as a matter of fact I think it's the most fun to drive. The McLaren is ok, 4th in my list and the Bentley, well, I've never liked that boat, even in real life.
Overall I think it's a great pack
 
I’ll be back setup & running I’m a few weeks , will purchase the radical

Do remember that some real world cars have little feeling coming back through the steering , one of the reasons I like the radical is it’s a fairly lite weight yet powerful car so one can easily feel the twitchyness through the steering , it translates into a digital sim version very well
Certain other cars not so much but then used preference when comparing would perhaps be sane in real world too
