I was really pissed to see Graham Hill listenning carefully what Yves Montand had to say about racing in Grand Prix. It was really the opposite in LeMans where you had that legend Steve Mc Queen, so I like the former but really love the later
Yes and it's possibly IMO the finest Blu-ray print i have seen. It's astonishing quality and the sound is better than a night in with the misses
Not sure of the UK, but here in the US it was priced next to nothing for the BD version. Snapped it up.
here it is...http://www.rfactorcentral.com/detail.cfm?ID=1937%20F1%20mod I would love this to be in RF2,
Great news! Yes, i see that mod and the screens and it looks wonderful but i do not use rF1 anymore and don't fancy installing it again just to race it. I only have rF2 and NetKar installed, only have NKP for nords tbh. The picture though just gives me goosebumps, such an amazing capture of something so so old and they still raced at crazy speeds in the 30's. We moan today about the state of F1 in terms of how nerfed it has become. But just think in 20-25 years time we will look back at the last few years and wonder why we can't go back to these days. The way the world is right now it's only gonna become more restricted. I just have a real passion for the 60's era, it was just so amazing in terms of the tracks, cars, spectators, everything. You watch back some footage and even the spectators had big Kahunas, they were literally in arms length of the races. Same goes with marshells etc. Really special era
The old stuff is the best, Nuvolari was a genius, I really enjoyed the fangio mod on Rf1 although it wasn't perfect. Hopefully RF2 will cover some of these cars in the future, Auto Unions at the Nord would be amazing...
http://www.kitschcamppalace.org.uk/wp-content/themes/twentyten/images/tazio_and_stag.jpg optional stag running across the track would only add to the realism....apparently Tazio had it stuffed as a trophy when he hit it during the Donnington grand prix, broke a couple of his ribs..
its in a motorsport book I've got, sorry I've forgotton the actual title, I just searched google for Nuvolari/stag/donnington... I would really like a large print of it...but not found one yet.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Chequered-Flag-Complete-History/dp/B0013NZXQE This is the book...its a good read but not worth paying alot for, the print is only small in the book too..
Thanks for that, i will take a look. Couple more below, not mine by the way but were put up by Durge over at NG. He has a really cool collection. You know just looking at these you can just feel the atmosphere and almost smell the petrol and hear the sounds. It's one area i feel ISI have nailed and have over other sims is the atmosphere and immersion, they truly have it nailed. Check him leaning into the corner, really brilliant shot. The shots are really dreamy and atmospheric
Wooden protection on marbles at Monaco!! Much good it would do against this elephant Audi if it hit them! never seen this before.
not shure, but there was a release for rfactor1 last week ... do you meant these cars? They have great physics and it´s a "nightmare" to drive them fast, but lot of fun !! http://www.virtualr.net/1937-grand-prix-for-rfactor-released
