I get "rfactor2 not activated on this machine" error when starting game through Logitech profiler. Profile was set up by connecting to launcher.exe using the steam/common/rfactor2 directory path.

Game runs ok when starting game from steam.

Obviously you can't start any Steam game outside of Steam unless you have Steam running in background, that would defeat the purpose of Steam copy protection.

Other sims aren't promoting themselves in the way rF2 does. Especially P Cars... really...

You don't have to start Games through the Logitech Profiler. The Profiler will automatically apply game specific profiles if you start the game. But you have to point the profile to rFactor2.exe instead of the Launcher.

Just in case you don't know.[emoji6]

Are there any plans to add an option to get rid of cache .rfcmp files after the package was installed so that they won't be re-downloaded during updates?
Considering that now we have steam workshop which is a fast way to download mods, what's the point of keeping .rfcmp files? As I understand after new version of a mod is released the full .rfcmp will be downloaded again instead using diff method (to reduce download size), so either way old version of mod file won't be used anymore, please correct if I am wrong.
Storing same data twice (.rfcmp files and installed files) can become a issue in terms of space required with high amount of mods.

Also why some installed .rfcmp's (full size) are being kept in steamapps/workshop/365960 while majority in steamapps\common\rFactor 2\cache ?
For example (full size file) ISI_Belgium_1966-v201.rfcmp is kept in workshop while ISI_Brianza_1966-v200.rfcmp.cache is kept in rFactor2\cache but both are installed.

I have also noticed that Sardian Heights 2004 track isn't removed from rFactor2 after unsubscribing in the workshop, any suggestions?

What do you mean? I had activated rF2 before it was released. I went to the form to get a key, got it in my email and now what? I went to STEAM and I have to buy it again.

If it's activated in your Steam library you don't have to buy it again. Are you trying to activate a lifetime code?

I don't have it on STEAM, I have the standalone and now it won't work because I tried to transfer it to steam.

    1. Launch the Steam client software and log into your Steam account.
    2. Click the Games Menu.
    3. Choose Activate a Product on Steam
    4. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the process. (put in your code you received)

This piece of Information you posted was not sent with my key in my email. It would be a good idea to add that to the email message when sending the key ;)

Without doubt this info should be in the email along with a link to Steam.

Once you're in the Vehicle Select screen in the UI, before clicking Race click Back, then Network settings and switch Spectate to ON.

I can`t join a race, because steam network is down...many thanks ISI. It was really very stupid from myself to move to steam with rF2...

A Steam window, wich says Steam is not reachable because of a steam network problem.

    //Edit: ss added

    View attachment 19942

//Edit2: and yes, i`m not stupid. I know, this is steam`s fault. But without the move...

//Edit3: just to let you konw, i got a steam update, after 6-7 retries and now it`s back to working
