Also, quick note - on the original release article I made a mistake and mentioned Calloway, which is ofc a GT3, as such, I've now amended the article and wish to confirm that Calloway is NOT part of this update. Apologies for the mistake.

So no graphic update for tye Porsche GTE?! the best sim car of all sims should have better graphic quality .

 

Just testing the oreca at le mans. AI are 2 secs faster and I'm 2 sec slower ;-) But the tires feels great. They dont have that sudden slip, and they feel easier to catch when I make errors. And I think the mediums feels better than the softs. could be wrong but even some of the AI was quite fast on mediums.

 

have you raised the ride height and increased the springs? The Oreca starts dragging it's floor at about 315kph with the default setup.

 

Before the update I easily did 3:31s with AI races. Now I can barely do 3:32s and AI went from 3:31s to 3:29s at 106%.
Will activate sparks and try to adjust the height again, just to make sure.

 

This could be the difference between the old and new tire file as well. I was gonna also suggest you make sure you have the Le Mans Aero chosen, but with your 3:30ish lap times, I'm just gonna shut up now...

My best before update with race setup was 3.30.086 but probably with some help of slipstream. I fight with my consistency, trying not to mess up my breaking etc. This tire update will help a lot. (and my new pedals)

 

Quick test at spa with 488 gte
still too forgiving tyre wise , catching slides is probably same difficulty as old tyres.
front can still be abused to get them to bite at cost of wear , just like old tyres, so in qualifying on some corners this technique is still viable.
P1 wings are still viable, especially now that aero is adjusted.
didn't even need to use front bumpstop, hell even used medium stiffness of REAR ARB ....still extremely drivable. unlike previous setups this time i didn't even need to use negative rake and soft rear spring...infact rake was 10mm (for ferrari which is pretty neutral rake wise, even comes with bit negative rake from factory as i have read.) and rear spring rate was same as front spring 240N/mm (yes wheel rates will be different but still my point is no need to softer rear to mange the car this time).
maybe another tweak to yaw sensitivity, and/or pitch sensitivity.
P1 wing in ACC GT car i'm dead in next corner without front bumpstop, maybe too extreme but i think reality is something in between (as always).
same for porsche rsr but it was slightly , very slightly difficult to handle that 488 gte.

But did you gain time with that kind of driving? Also how long will tyres last?

have people got engine sound in the ferrari when stationary in 1st gear? i have no engine idling.
Aston martin, i can barely get around a corner without the arse flying out. maybe i need more tyre temp

 

Got a weird siren sound with the Aston GTE on each upshift or downshift, not the blip about shift protection, way lower level sound but still, it's there, I can hear it.
Tried to verify the files, still present.

 

Laptime target with the Oreca around le mans is 3.28 for average player and 3.25 for fast driver with 75L (full tank).

 

At Spa in real life, teams use minimum wing, so this is not a surprise. When you test, it is best to try to mimic real racing pace which means you have to compare both versions of the car based on 1 hour stint average laptime/fuel consumption and tyre wear.
ACC cars are GT3 cars, so don't compare the Ferrari GTE to the the Ferrari GT3 of another sim.
