Is there a chance for another download link, mediafire is to slow, i shall weit more than 15 hours and i know it would stop sometimes in the middle.
It is a bit messy but the idea is there. Looks good that rF2 overlay. Quick thing, could you name the track folder something easier to locate? Anything from Old_Forestheim_SL (SL = Sergio Loro) to Forestheim_F3, instead of Hocke_F3. Also, for the test, I'm going to run no HDR, automation HDR, and noautoexposure HDR by Tosch. I'll grab screenies from tracks like Silverstone and Mores to compare.
Recolored some trees (you have lots of trees ), grass and modified some materials (rescaled multi maps for grass and asphalt). Asphalt multi map is much brighter now. I don't like dark roads. Increased specular reflection for the road. You don't need a special hdr profile. Just some texture tweaking.
I ran the game at 3:30pm to minimize graphical issues - Tarmac and immediate track surroundings are either low resolution or not greatly mapped. Notice the "crater" like surface on the asphalt - No blending of colors into the environment - Extreme variation of trees, very bright despite surrounded by more trees (as if the Sun was shining directly on each) - 2D sprites near track should be 3D models - Flickering of a couple of trees in the straights - Flickering of billboard before entering forest (also present in ISI's Tiger Drome so it may be a game issue) - No ambient occlusion anywhere, no shading on textures, everything is bright as if exposed to the same source of light at the same angle Automation HDR/ noautoexposure HDR View attachment 15695 View attachment 15696 View attachment 15697 View attachment 15698 View attachment 15699 View attachment 15700 View attachment 15701 View attachment 15702 View attachment 15703 View attachment 15704 View attachment 15705 No HDR - Slightly less issue of contrasting content but still very noticeable View attachment 15706 View attachment 15707 View attachment 15709 Silverstone and Nordschleife Tourist HDR View attachment 15710 View attachment 15711 View attachment 15712 View attachment 15713 View attachment 15714 View attachment 15715 View attachment 15716 View attachment 15717 View attachment 15718
tosch thank you for that screenies, seems textures are not the problem , but more like a settings stuff, as i supost. thanks guimengo for all that screenies, now i understand better what do you mean. time to work even hard
See? Didn't even have to ask Tosch, he popped up here on his own . The trees look a bit washed out and that fog isn't very welcome but I don't know how much is actually rF2 and how much is track.
No Chance here but only with Sergios links. "Hat man den Gipfel erstmal erklommen, geht es egal wohin man sich wendet, nur noch bergab"
Which? I got one on the 9. February "Hat man den Gipfel erstmal erklommen, geht es egal wohin man sich wendet, nur noch bergab"
go to post 1 http://isiforums.net/f/showthread.php/22715-Forestheim-Last-Public-Beta-Preorder-ends-02-28 Thank you to all enjoy it sergio
What changed in .7? I had deleted the .48 but I still have the same trees, all billboards flicker (like Tiger Moth AƩrodrome), etc. By the way, the loading screen is better than I imagined it would be. It feels a bit busy, but if if you could center the rF2 logo on the top part of the screen and have the track name and layout more noticeable, and have the track information in a way that is easier to read, it'd be a nice improvement.
Yup, I have the billboard textures flickering, as well as some tree trunks. The stadium pops up as I am approaching it from way down the back straight as well. Extremely picky, but the red and orange shirts in the crowd. There are some places where it appears to be solid vertical line of red, so some more randomisation of placement would be cool. The trees seem better, but with HDR automation it seems they have their own light source so when the engine applies light, it's oversaturated. That's how it seems to me anyway. They could also blend a little better imo. For driving, I'm pretty pleased. I've done around 15 laps and can just imagine the battles it will produce. I'll reserve final judgement when I have realroad buildup though.
