F1 2012 beta

The car behavior is very good even if it's a beta release.
I think engine need a bit more torque indeed. Tyres temperature is weired like Formula Renault but it doesn't compromize grip overall. Very good work on physic!
Please.....remove those orrible mirrors it's like drive a rabbit ;)

Car feels really fun to drive and the feeling is there. I will do further testing but THANK YOU :D

Top Speed may be far too high. A friend had about 335km/h (or 325) with 30-25 wings on Sepang
 
I have tested your car and here are my findings and feedback regarding car physics and behavior:
(i have tested your mod with G27 racing wheel and without any aids of course)

the bad (it's constructive, so keep in mind that I wanna help you):
- car's handling is too forgiving, you may commit any mistake you want but the car almost never fails.. No understear/oversteer so far.
- as mentioned above, the brakes are way too soft.
- no ffb proper feeling yet, the lack of connection through your hands, ffb wheel the car and the road.

the good
+ amazing sense of speed
+ fantastic engine/downshifting sounds
+ feels already something of rf2 family but still rf1 textures..

Note: If you can, have some F1 Reiza (Game stock car) driving sessions in order to get the best out of your mod in terms of car handling. Try to understand the feeling of Reiza car and you will make of yor mod a masterpiece! :)

Yes I know that forgives a lot (maybe too much) we try to find a balance to please all.

Brakes: it will be correct
FFB: as already noted by another tester, we will correct the degrees in suspensions and feel should be better.

Fun to drive but obviously some glaring problems.

Intermediate tyres are around 6 seconds faster than dry tyres. No difference whatsoever in aerodynamic changes, 1-1 is just like 35-35 aerodynamically.

When driving with the intermediates and rain tyres, sometimes when going aggressively on a curb it makes your car lift and roll unexplainably. Especially turn 2 at Sepang. Didn't notice it with the dry tyres though.

Will continue testing, but it is for sure fun and if things will be corrected it will be a whole lot better.
 
After few laps...

Tires have very huge grip. I have tried to spin with full throttle and it's very hard to do that. Especially on intermediate tires.
This and other bugs on video.

Positive signs are that overall feelings are promising, car is very predictable and FFB is very smooth.(maybe even too smooth)
 
I think its a good start. Driving overall felt good, I thought.

1) brakes - are weak at the start, but they should be poor until they warm up, which might take a lap or 2.

2) I always hate to say a car has too much grip, but I can roll the car over pretty easily, just going around a corner. Default tires, didn't change anything.

lol me too, i can floor it through most corners & roll over instantly. Pretty funny :cool:
