These cars are incredible! Thank you Chief and Postipate and anyone else that is involved with this great mod. Thank you Philrob and anyone else involved with this great version of Montjuic. So much fun!

nice captures
Thank you so much for your work on Montjuic Philrob! Such a fun track to drive! The best thing about simracing, imho, is that we can relive the great experience of racing these tracks, that are deemed far to dangerous by today's standards, In the virtual world. We can race these magnificent cars on these magnificent tracks without putting ourselves, our anyone else in danger. All the while thinking about how there was a time when drivers did this for real. They put their lives on the line to be faster than their rival! Competing on dangerous tracks in the pursuit of fame and glory. Lets be honest; In the pursuit of speed! Which, I know; if you are like me; you completely understand!

Impressive that the tires front and rear are the correct dimensions in this mod, seen many F1 70's mods the tires especially the rears are squared off and not the right size.

Is the Lotus floating in the air sometimes?
If your referring to the screenshots I posted, the answer is no. The car is just bouncing over kerbs or whatnot. The movement of the car, tires, suspension is very good in rfactor 2 in my opinion. My setup here is pretty soft, so your seeing a lot of suspension movement.

Yes. I was talking about pictures 2, 4 and 6 more specifically.

Wow I need to test this track someday. Wanted it for so long and nice to see it looks great on rF2:)

I agree, there is some floating happening there. But I won't venture in saying what is the cause as I don't know jackshit about modding...

ideally, we should be seeing something like this (it would turn the mod PERFECT):

Perhaps there is. I didn’t notice. In game I thought it looked great. I would say I have seen similar “floating” with Studio-397 cars in some instances. I still think this mod looks and performs great. I hope the rest of the grid gets updated to the same level.

On DLC contents is extremely rare and there is always space for improvement.
There could be some disparity between the visual representation of the wheel and the radius on the physics, thus placing the car above the ground (just guessing).
I have seen this issue also on a very old rF1 conversion to rF2 of the BMW M1 Procar, with it being more apparent on some tracks, such as Imola and São Paulo (could be a Reiza thing).
There is also the possibility of the track having a transparent mesh on top of the road mesh, either to have a certain visual effect or to smooth lower quality mesh the hard way (again, I am guessing).

vava74,
i have worked and updated Montjuich on and off since Ken converted it from GPL.It has no transparent mesh on the track surface and has never been converted to AC, were it could possibly have gained an invisible mesh.
Just a headsup in trying to find this small floating problem.

The screenshots of the Lotus where taken at Zolder from steam workshop.
