1. Chief, at least on my system the cars are coming out with what I feel is excessive shine. Look at the scoops...

I think it's a *bit* too much, like a 1cm-thick layer of clear coat or as if it was wet. A tad less will look better in my opinion (for me, this happens on DLC cars too).
A couple of extra notes: - the images in 1080p don't make justice to the amount of shimmer around the car and its present on virtually all angles (time of day is 10 or 11am so a very high sun);
- your image shows a thinner shimmering effect which is, for instance, less present vertically;
- same happens here, no doubt that there should be gloss, but it's, in my opinion, less strong:
